The way I see it Kevin's music changes meaning depending on where he is in life. His music is unlike other atrists, instead of simple lyrics that remain unchanged he uses his old songs as a vehicle to take the new experiences he learned and integrates them into what he once felt.
Thats how I experience his music, and I think it's important for everyone to appreciate an artists in their own way.
i saw him in madison a couple years ago.. i asked him before the show to play ballgame and he ended up closing with it. i get the chills just thinking about it.
he's so insanely good. and he's modest too, at all of his shows- he doesn't mind talking to you or taking a photo and he's not a cockass like other pretentious musicians today. he's definitely one of the greatest musicians of our time.
it looks like he was talking to someone up on the balcony. this is the first time at a show that he's actually looked at someone though, usually he looks down (as if in self-reflection) so maybe that person is an old friend from brooklyn?
i wasn't there but i have noticed that kevin has this total ability to stare straight at you when he's singing (even if he's not staring straight at you)
was this on a phone, or a camera because the quality is very good

the silent crowd for the extended part is chilling.
that many people just so drawn to him and what he has to say..
amazing.

he did the same ending a few weeks ago when i saw him but he also added:
"someone besides yourself for once and live somewhere for more than three months, then you call me up."
