LOL. Its amazing how so many people say x-plane is better because of the FAA certificate thing... Flying in FSX+REX+a PMDG aircraft and without any FAA certificates is by far a better experience. At least, it has AI traffic, ATC, a big online community and WAY better add ons that makes flying experience so much better.

X-Plane is good because the aircraft look better and the scenery is WAY better. But Flight Sim X is better cause its actually based on the real stuff and in X-Plane it's unproportional .

another reason why FSX is better, now you can see the clouds but you will never be able to fly in them aronund them or experence IFR conditions with truely modeled clouds instead of an .avi file playing. Xplane has a looooooong way to go....

Umm, this is a user generated vid splicing experiment -- x-plane with real cloudscapes.

The sim has truly modeled clouds that can be flown through and that show up on radar.

X-Plane is gaining market share because more people are starting to see how little the difference exists between the graphics, and how great the difference between accurate flight simulation -- X-Plane can be used as part of your FAA flight certification training.

Because even though it is not truly viewed by the government as a great tool for real world training, Flight schools all over the world are Still recommending the FS line. It is regarded as a highly accurate version of real flight. For instance, Google. LVL-D 767 and see how realistic that is! I know several Airline pilots who say that payware add-ons (not all of them) are generally great representations of the true plane. FS has a simpler interface for 3D modeling too.
