  • You just made something very simple into something very complicated! The whole point of EFT as that its simple! Why make it so complicated?

  • @satsumamoon I have a very good friend who worked with Gary Craig on the workshop guidelines, the EFT Masters program and wrote the EFT Level 1 and 2 course book (Ann Adams) with me. She says: "EFT is simple, People are not." This is true - and a bit unfortunate. Some people will try EFT and say "it doesn't work" but that is because they haven't delved into the what Gary called "the art of delivery" EFT is simple but when people get complicated, EFT expands to accommodate and help them heal.

  • You are absolutely right about when one emotion dissipates through this technique, another resurfaces. I found myself from sad, mad, regretting, picking on myself, then sad again. Man this simple method could take me a whole day of clearing! Nonetheless in the immediate sense, it does help with the trauma that I am going thru. My brain is wired to think all negative it seems and my spirit's positive battles it. It's an internal battle, but this does help!

  • I don't know why but eft doesn't work for me I have gary craig's dvd but it doesn't help with my axiety or pain from an autoimmune disorder, Perhaps I don't do it enough. I do one round when I feel anxious but it does no good so I don't tend to do another

  • @augie78787878 You might want to tap on resistance to healing, or "not ready to heal." You know you aren't going to heal with just one round, but you stopped. Then you convinced yourself of some reason to stop... it doesn't work, etc. You have to keep doing it. IME with my chronic illness, the physical symptoms go away after weeks or months of healing the emotional symptoms. Gives time for the nervous system to calm and time for biochemical healing to take place.

  • @augie78787878 You might try EFTwords.com - it is a free site where you put your emotions in the box and hit submit and it give you words to tap with. Autoimmune disorder will take time - it might be a good idea to work with an EFT practitioner....

  • I love you talking....it's so common and not over the top crazy like some things out there.......It's real to me and thank you for your help....... I should have bruises from all the tapping.

  • hehehehe - you'd think we'd all have bruises... Gary Craig once tapped on me and I thought Jeez - I hope I don't have to tap that hard! I asked him and he said " that's only for the Karate chop point...." and that was in my early days... I've found out you barely even have to touch the points at all & it works - WOW.

  • @tapwithkarinThanks. Interesting application of EFT, putting the incident "out there" instead of inside the body. I will Tap this way for awhile & see how it works for me. Seems like a better idea. I also like the comment you posted here that you don't have to tap hard, that simply touching the points works well.

    A few years ago I heard an EFT practitioner say that he used a method of |"touch and groan" which is what I do a lot, seems to work for me.

    I am experimenting with many methods.

  • All our stuff is reality & to really work on our own stuff, you have to be REAL - to get rid of REAL stuff - sometimes not easy (and may not make us sound like the sharpest tacks in the box) - but REAL is REAL and we need to start there with that language - SO THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!   • I have a real hard time with the sud. My ego hides my pain while I tap..Is this common?

  • Take the SUDS level before you start & then after you finish. It's more important that you pay attention to any negative emotions and work with them. For pain, a great way is to make it an object - just make it up. Close your eyes and ask yourself "If this pain were a THING, what would it look like" Tap on that image for a round and then close your eyes and ask again - it will have changed. Then tap on the new thing. It's called "Color of Pain" or "Chasing the pain." It's a great technique

  • I would be very much interested in purchasing the DVDs once you have made them. I do know i need something to tap along to for this as it has been an issue since my first day at school age 5. And it has followed me around everyday since until the present. It has caused me all kinds of eating problems too. I look forward to when the DVDs are going to be available. In the meantime i will try as you have suggested in your posts to me.

  • So by i can work through my self hatred of my face and body etc. But then yesterday i tried a top on that is my size and it didn't fit. This happens everytime that i have tried something and it doesn't fit. My thoughts get out of control about my looks and my weight and i just want to die to get away from this overwhelm of different emotions. I feel sick inside and i feel i am back to square one.

  • Hi Karin and thank you for your good advice. I will take it one step at a time and try and work on what i am feeling now. I have been working on resistance to change/fear of change/negative self-talk/not ready to heal/self sabotage to name a few. I have not address my body image is of yet. I was feeling optimistic after sorting the above out.

  • Continued from above post. As i have been working on negative self-talk and resistance to change/fear of changing and not doing my tapping. Of which has worked...so now i think i need to address my bad body image and think that will sort the depression out or will it not lol.

    This EFT is easy but it isn't when you are not sure of which problem to address first. That is where an expert comes in i think! :-D

  • There are a TON of reasons for bad body images. I'm working on this with someone else and creating a DVD set. A piece will be here on my channel when it's ready. Until then, break every emotion down into 1 at a time. Try to find when you 1st felt that - and almost always, an event will come up (even if it SEEMS like it's unrelated) Work on that event until all emotions are regulated and the event just "happened" and you're not emotional about any of it anymore. Then go on to the next event.

  • Hi Karin. I have depression and i think the cause is bad body image. Of which i am going to work on. So if i did this video to eliminate depression would that mean i am not getting the core issue sorted...or working on this would bring aspects as to why i am depressed to work on afterwards? I just am confused as there seems so many roads that lead onto another.

  • There are many roads and sometimes this is why self-help can be difficult.. but keep chipping away at it, one feeling at a time. And work on events too. If some picture from your paste "pops up" - even if it seems unrelated - work on that until the emotions around that event don't bother you. You have to keep tapping on each emotion until it's a zero and then move to the next one.  I'll be putting together some free EFT sessions with newbie practitioners so they can practice and help others...

  • I love your videos!! i want to know how do i tap for a person thats has a headache or pain? something like sending them reiki healing, but i want to tap for someone how do i start to help people??

  • So glad you like them AND it's terrific you want to help people. EFT for someone else is called Surrogate Tapping. YouTube won't let me link. So you can search for "Magic Buttons Tapping Bear with Adults as a therapy tool" The bear is surrogate tapping. It is VERY much like Reiki. You can either tap on a stuffed animal who "becomes" the person, or tap on yourself and say I am this person and "Even though.." The important thing is not to try to change the other person - simply to help them.
