I've been trying to decipher the instructions and pictures in my how-to book all week. Even the instructional DVD that came with the book was no help. Your video made it all so much more simple. Thank you so much!
This was excellent! I'm self-taught just from watching my aunt for years and I crochet backwards. I never understood what all the names of things were. You're awesome, Beth!
Thank you! I just bought A Complete Idiot's Guide to Crocheting. The first step is learning the chain, I caught on to that just fine...The next step is the single crochet and I read and re-read the directions and tried several times but couldn't figure it out. Learning by watching someone do it is SO much easier! Your simple instructions really helped me on my way to becoming a crocheting addict! I'll be referring to more of these videos as I progress. Thanks, again!
WOW! I couldn't find ANY other website or video that wasn't just continuing off something that you had already started, so I was wondering how to actually start it off! Thanks to you, now I actually know how to start! :D Thank you sooooo much!
u made it so easy for me . i love u !!!!! ur a great teacher. im sososososos happy. im 25 yrs old and im on daiylsis. so at treatment tomorrow i will have a blast knowin what i learn thank u and good bless
Ok, I don't know if this is a really stupid question or not. But should it be wrapping around in like a circle as I make more stitches? It's like it is all wrapping around one point. But like I said before I don't know if it is a stupid question or not, I just want to know if I'm doing it right. Thank you for the video!
Expertvillage i have been doing a stitch that you havent covered i was wondering if perhaps its not been done before i doubt it but on the top theres the V shapes well i went through only one of the sides of the V's and it makes ridges all along the front and back of the piece, and seriously get over yourself bbrown be nice to someone trying to help you
I think it is really ignorant to criticize someone who is showing you for free how to do something many people find difficult to do (That is why we are watching these videos right? Because we don't know how to do it.). Keep negative, unhelpful comments to yourself. . . Thank you for the wonderful video expertvillage.
I'm glad there's finally someone else who holds the hook like do: KNIFE! My attempts at crochet have been many, and successes only scarcely. You just made like ten times easier.
Hi, i teach a class on crocheting and i like to show them how to crochet a little bit from the internet, although they said they are confused. I don't know if you can , but can you go a little slower for beginners
I'm confused. I thought when you entered the chain stitch you have to go underneath 2 bits of yarn and have 1 at the bottom. I'm always struggling big time with that, but this seems much easier. Put in my experience it pulls to much on that one bit of yarn if you use that.
I guess is whatever way you like it better, the way you explain yours is how I being doing it for years and I prefer how it looks than how she's teaching in the video =)
i wish this video had helped, i guess if you know crocheting a little bit already it's good, but for beginners like myself, its too fast, you don't see where the needle needs to go :( oh well
This was very helpful! I do things so much better when I see someone doing it, the instructions for single crochet I was reading didn't explain well enough for me to understand but this was perfect.
You definitely make it much easier! Thank you! I have been trying to learn how to crochet off and on for about 8 years, and it is much easier watching someone than learning from a book. A+
Thank you so much u made it look so easy.I'm just learning how to to so I can make a little extra money and plus I have way to much time on my hands lol.
Thank you so much! I haven't done this in years and you refreshed my memory so fast. It was nice to not have to hunt down someone and make them show me. I can come back to these videos when I need help. Thanks again :)
this was really helpful!

Don't you have to put the hook through the third stitch to begin a single crochet? This video assumes too much, for me at least.
