Dude you're amazing.. I'm actually trying to learn the original solo, but if you could tab it like you play it in the video, it would be really great!!!
wow, very good, companero. i play, (although not nearly that good), i can play a few bach pieces, but this song (paganini's caprice no. 5/ eugene's trick bag), even rondo alla turca(mozart), depending on who's talking, lol, but this rendition is top notch, first class. (not cheese eatin' niether, lol). thanks for turning me on, (a feeling of capability welling up within me, a feeling that i should practice more, not less.) sabicas, manolo san lucar, paco de lucia, (of course). cuida te, amigo
Cool. And Omar's totally rignt. It is a Paganini piece that was adapted for the movie. I like his Flamenco embellishments. I'd like to hear someone put a jazz twist on it.
Omar, ayer tuve el placer de ver en T.v. tu concierto en el Festival Cervantino en Guanajuato México 2009 y... Wow! Now I'm your fan!! You and your band are so talent! Cuándo vienes a la Ciudad de México?
It's both, as I state in the description, to fit the fret board range and tone of the Flamenco guitar. Eugene's Paganini part is too short for my taste, so I extended more to my liking. Eugene's Trick took from Paganini and I take it form both, :-)
Thats insane! I feel how all those rockstars must have felt when watching Hendrix, spellbound and without reply. The original is hard enough and you smoked it. After watching that, it makes you question the superiority of the electric guitar itself! who needs 24 frets, when you play the way you do.omg!
I studied Flamenco with Juan Serrano and played with dancers for a while. Now I am just focusing on creating my own style. I do take elements of Flamenco (alzapua, rest strokes & golpe)
Yes this is an amazing piece. It is actually composed by William Kannengaiser and Steve Vai with a STRONG melodic influence from Caprice 5 by Paganini.
This is wonderful. You play all the extreme arpeggios flawlessly. Yet most importantly , you never lose the groove which is so rare in guitarist bold enough to try a piece like this.
damn dude, you played the shit out of that guitar!!!!
