Still prefer II over this though, as there's less glitches. And on the right versions, there's no supers, I've never liked them and most likely never will.

While they look amazing in this, I just think they balance the gameplay out too much. Wailing on someone just for them to be able to do an ultra and be back in the fight, sucks.

Oh, and also because there's no online. I truly do hate online on most games, but SF is even worse.

Ultra's are very controversial.

If you're doing high level play, you should rarely ever fall for ultra's, yet alone "wake-up" Ultra's. It happens every now and then, but if you're playing seriously it shouldn't happen. I'm glad there's no infinite-hit combo's <_<.

Speaking of balancing, Sagat is a ***** (Ryu to some extent) cause of his priority. The good news is I've seen worse in other fighting games.

The counters don't come close to replacing the parry. 3rd strike is harder to play. I can see the notion you like the easy fighting games, unlike Melee, and Guilty Gear. You probably like SSBB a lot., which bothers me.

I have to say that personally I dont like any of the new characters introduced in Street Fighter 4. C.Viper is a little too "SNK'ish" to me, Abel is/looks MASSIVELY generic, Rufus is a Goddamn waste of a character (I feel like throwing up every time i see that fat slob), and El Fuerte seems insanely out of place.

Nothing wrong with that. Some people flip out like crazy if you dont like something they like. I like Street Fighter 4, but to me Street Fighter 3 is still the pinnacle of the series. But hey, that just MY opinion.

Wasn't there a quarter type mode? You play arcade and can get challenged if you turn it on, which is quite a bit like in the arcades.

There is a "quarter mode", so to speak. You can turn requests on while playing arcade mode and anyone can interrupt the game to fight you online.

Great review chris and great game! Though, is there any chance that you could review street fighter 3? Because i played and loved street fighter 2 back in the day, and still play it now, but everyone who has reviewed SF4 has said how lame SF3 was, and i never managed to play it. I just wanna know why no one seems to like it, and what made it be pushed aside as a fighter. Anyway, 5* as always =].

I probably won't get this game until the PC version comes out because I still don't own a 360 (being in high school w/o a job sucks). I really didn't feel like this game would turn out so good, but I eventually got sucked into its awesomeness.

Since I haven't played any street fighter game religiously (Alpha 3 for a bit) I think I'll use Ryu for awhile =P. Yeah, another shoto.

Huge Street Fighter fan, but man I'm not feeling IV.

The switch to 3D is a major turnoff for me, and not continuing the parrying from third strike was an absolute deal breaker.

I have rented it a couple times and it just makes me want to play third strike instead.

I agree, street fighter HD had an arcade mode where you could watch the matches while you waited for your turn, that would've been cool, maybe they add that mode later on. True Seth is a fucking asshole on par with Gill except cheaper, and yeh playing online against Ryu/Ken 15 times in a row before i encounter a different character is a pain in the ass.
