Great Video! I would love to use iMovie to edit my iOs videos but I don't know how to extract them into my Macbook Pro from my iPhone 4S. My videos don't appear on iTunes nor anywhere on my hard disk. Any advice on how to export my videos from my iPhone into my Macbook pro?

Really really nice video. But if you actually wanna invest in a camera for the sole purpose of making videos, don't waste your money on an iphone 4s, you can't beat a DSLR to record videos. a 16gb iphone 4S would cost you £460 - £500, where as a canon 550d with a 17 - 55mm lens would cost you £529, just a little bit more. And a Nikon d3100 would only cost you £450. But I mean if you already have an iPhone 4S this video shows that there's nothing stopping you from making some great films!

I think this video is an excellent way of demonstrating that you don't need to fork out serious cash on a great camera in order to get great results. People obsess of over which camera they should choose when really they should be more worried about just getting out there and shooting. A camera worth 1000+ euros is not gonna make you a better cinematographer it might give you more creative options but at the end of the day its what you do with what you've got that will show your skill.

@ItsMarkableTv Generally you would buy the iPhone as a phone not with the pure intention to shoot film with it, so it would be a very smart investment as you are not only getting a great camera as Matt has shown but also a usable phone, and the video is not primarily about the iPhone, he is just demonstrating that you don't have to spend alot to get a good result.

I have relaised from big youtubers such as Freddiew they use DSLR cameras not camcorders-i know this has nothing to do with the 'iphone aspect of this video' but why do you think people do not use camcorders now? @ItsMarkableTv decent glass is half the battle when it comes to DSLR's. Putting cheap glass in front of you sensor is just counter productive. Any decent lens will easily set you back a few hundred quid. Dont get me wrong you could get a 550d and 50mm 1.8 and get great shots. But again im not in a debate about price :p

what kind of camera do you recommend for somebody trying to make films like this, in the 600-1200 dollar price range? and why?

@hirokido Canon T3i. Great image quality, great video features, and affordable price. But since I shot this on a phone, you can see that its really more important to focus on post-production.

@hirokido I have a 60D and the T3i uses the same processor as the 60D. So the T2i is cheaper and you will get the same features as the 60D. As for video software if you are really into making videos I would recommend Final Cut Pro X or the Adobe Production Premium. It's quite pricy but if you are into really adding dramatic color like in this video there is great software called Magic Bullet Looks 2.0 by Red Giant Software that is fantastic for coloring your footage. But iMovie works great!

everytime i flim on my iphone it never turns out the way i want it to when i put it into final cut pro because its only half screen. i try to crop and then transform it but it really distorts the shot. howd you do this? and what do you suggest to do in the future?
