Sorry I'm seeing a growing trend towards belief systems based on anecdotes and theatre and away from evidence based analysis. This theory IS based on a lot of the same evidence as Pangaea the only difference is it doesn't include subduction. Subduction isn't proven & neither is the convection currents so where does the energy that moves the entire sea floor dragging the continents come from? There is no evidence to prove that the asthenosphere is molten everywhere. In fact there is inferred evidence that it is not.
There's some shallow sea (around NZ), but if you look at the noaa link to the map on box to the left of the video, you can find seafloor depth maps of the same regions that show most of it is around 3-5 km deep.

It closes in the Atlantic well (but Plate tectonics would predict that) but it doesn't close in the Pacific. There's a huge patch of undated seafloor the starts out around New Zealand and here ends up south of Mexico that remains open.
The Atlantic ocean is growing and the Pacific is shrinking. New material is being created on the mid-Atlantic rift. Subduction happens in the Pacific that's where there are volcanoes. They switch over time due to magma activity below the crust in convection cells. Liquid magma which isn't more dense than solid granite. Because the magma is more than likely liquid granite. The ocean is younger than the continental because the ocean floor gets subducted obviously aprox 70my cycle.

kinetic energy to the photons passing by the star as much as the photons
