  • This model came to Singapore in Sep 2010. I bought the FZ8-S (with fairing) the moment I laid eyes on it. Got the white colour and fitted Hepco & Becker panniers after one month of riding it 'naked'. Damn responsive and no regrets.

  • That exhaust is so ugly...

  • Hi guys, i live in Canada and here the FZ8 is just Black!!! i can't find the white one.Which country has this motorcycle in White color? And how can i find it?

  • @siamakmkh Those lucky basturds in Europe have it D:

  • @siamakmkh : Singapore has the white version. I bought FZ8-S in Sep when it arrived. Sexy white bike.

  • @siamakmkh europe and asia my man, we don't get em in the great WHITE north... get the hint yamaha?

  • looks like shit well done yamaha continiu making awfull bikes

  • I still prefer my fz6 s2....it looks much better...the exhaust on this bike it's realy painfull...

  • Muy buena pinta. A ver si sacan la XJ8 Diversion, con el carenado completo. Con esa arrasarían.

  • pros:

-better quality parts (e.g. swingarm) than Z750 and I really like the look of it

    - 216 kg with petrol which is lighter than Z750 (230kg with petrol)

    cons:

    - exhaust.

wtf were they thinking of when they designed it?!

guess its gonna be my next bike (riding ER-6 atm)

  • @DistemperpK Try and see a dyno test in this bike vs Z750, The FZ8 has a long flat spot between 3 and 5000 rpm's, i bet its the new euro 4 emmission thing that is to blame. The Z750 dyno curve is good and by the book ! Another thing, i denmark the Fz8 is around 2000$ more than Z750.

  • @MissMan666 in germany its cost 500€ more then the z750, fz8 woukd be better becouse the weight ist lower then a z750

  • @MissMan666 There is no such flat spots, prove me wrong.

    I challenge you :P

  • @ace41r After I have done a 30min test drive of the Fz8, and it was clear to me within 5min that there was a flat spot somewhere in the lower rpm's. I talked to the yamaha dealer about it, and they told me it was something about the euoro 4 standards that has coused the problem, it can be fixed with powercommander. Other than the flat spot, the bike was a joy to ride.

  • I cant post link here. I have send you a PM with a link to a dyno test that shows you the flot spots.

Its a perfect engine graph for a perfect street bike, just have a look, very linear power output till 7k rpm, and see the torque distribution, very flat in the mad range :) perfect!

from the books this bike rocks.

  • @ace41r That is a fine curve. But where is that test from ? If its from "Jardine" The exhaust company, you cannot trust it. Every exhaust company's "dyno-test" are always positive, sales trick. Same goes for akrapovic, remus and so on. I've seen 2 dyno test from to diffrent test magasines and they booth show the same flat spot between 3 and 6000 rpm, as soon as a powercommander is fítted its gone.

  • @MissMan666 Hmm, i found this from the fz6 forums where they have done a detailed review on fz8, they says this is the dyno graph of a stock fz8. and i think its true coz power and torque almost on par with the company specifications. And as far as the name is concerned, its customisable and some1 did a run with the jardine muffler the last time and they didnt bother to change the name when they tested fz8 ?

  • Nata vecchia
