I just got a response from one of the websites in question. He says that he is doing nothing illegal as YouTube makes the videos available to him via the published API. They are still available even if you check the no embed option. He says he does not actively seek out our videos but that he also CANNOT remove them as YouTube is the one making them available to him. He says the fight to have the videos removed from all these website is with YouTube themselves and not him.
Thanks for this Jack. I have contacted the websites and none of them responded to me but a lawyer is such a harsh thing. And what am I going to do? Sue every website every week that does it while I'm still using YouTube? That Whois website is interesting. I was wondering if the websites are auto-searching our tags, is that how they do it?
