Actually I just got a UVW-100B. I didn't pay much to get it. It's in pretty decent condition from what I can tell. I'm just curious to see how many hours it has on it.

wish I had the type of equipment you have. You must make some serious bank doing what you do, to own a

DNW-9WS. I think I'll get a UVW-100, do what you do, and make myself rich. lol. WJW was doing live shots outside my home last week, I got interviewed, and I asked the photog, they use the same model.

Betacam SX deck will play SP tapes so it is dual function... The video quality on my DXC-D30 is the same as my DNW-9WS BetaSX cam, the both have the same CCD and DSP chip in them, the only difference is the tape.

This video was shot on a 1/2 CCD UVW-100, I have better luck when shooting Betacam SP then I do with my other cameras, the biggest thing is that all the stations here in Sacramento have a Betacam SP deck, not all stations have an SX or DVCAM deck, The other popular format here in Sac is DVCPRO

Now that KCRA went to XDCAM every station in Sacramento is on a different format. KCRA XDCAM, KXTV DVCAM, KOVR DVCPRO, KTXL Beta SX. They can all dub a MiniDV tape though with little effort. Also made setting up a pool shoot a pain when I was working at the stations.

That is one of the reasons I still have Beta SP is due to the fact that all the stations have a SP Deck even though they do not use them that much and run different formats... I was told by KCRA that if I produce a commercial I have to give it to them in SP format.....

Good footage, the Betacam SP looks pretty good considering how old it is. What model do you use?

Nobody in Cleveland that I know of uses Beta SP. Three of the four stations here I know use Beta SX, DVCPRO, and the JVC line of HDV cameras.
