Wow, that mumbling til he yips thing is exactly like my blue heeler, Wilson. Wilson's the laziest, meekest heeler ever and I adore him for it! =) Beautiful dog, btw.

@pagoogly you mean 'mad max'. I have a blue heeler with almost that exact white 'star' marking on his head. Apparently this can be traced back to a certain breeding history of the heeler. Are you in Melbourne?

Mine does this too, I think its pretty common. Its probably from their feral dog ancestry, the howling.

My Blue boy does the same thing, he is very talkative, very expressive. Hahaha. He's just come into the room because he can hear your dog talking - lol;)

our Auzi has learned to say (among all the other things we don't really understand) "wubba" -which is a favorite toy - and "Mom" ... he learned that one more on his own. he's very vocal and it's so funny
