What's the problem? What's wrong with a security check? Would it be better to skip it and then have several hundred dead people (including other kids in the plane)? Most terrorist wouldn't care, is it a small girl or not if it would allow them to pass through a security.

Anything more than a simple pat down should be performed by a licensed physician or pediatrician on site. Sure, it will raise costs to hire a few but doctors and physicians are the most qualified to do this sort of thing. This would also ensure that we have the proper protocols in place should we need to contain an outbreak of sickness or disease from spreading.

Metal detector + thermal camera + dogs + sniffer device = no cancer, no groping and if done correctly much faster. I'm sure dogs can also be trained to smell impurities in things like plastic/PVCs and metal but wouldn't really be necessary.

Anything more than a simple pat down should be performed by a licensed physician or pediatrician on site. Sure, it will raise costs to hire a few but doctors and physicians are the most qualified to do this sort of thing. This would also ensure that we have the proper protocols in place should we need to contain an outbreak of sickness or disease from spreading.

Ya, you can also brake the eating tray on the back of the plane seats and stab someone with it. Plastics everywhere, no need to smuggle it on the plane.
Metal detector + thermal camera + dogs + sniffer device = no cancer, no groping and if done correctly much faster. I'm sure dogs can also be trained to smell impurities in things like plastic/PVCs and metal but wouldn't really be necessary.

@nickz777 Oh and the kid SURELY got that "weepy" because of the patdown itself, right? It had nothing to do with the parents creating a stressful environnment all of the sudden, right?? Because the PARENTS were obviously mad after the patdown, the little girl obviously observed this, and she got confused, because she thought all this was because it was her fault, and that she did something wrong. Reasons for her being "apologetic".

hmm for all those who say its wrong, would you want to be on a plane with a bomb planted on a 6 year old? theres some sick people out there who would do it, and do you think that lady feels completely okay with doing it? it must be slightly embarassing, but security is there for a reason.
