I suggest that he saw a rare mirage of the island of Guernsey. From the location he indicates, a superior mirage of the island would appear much as he describes - a long and thin object with pointed ends, seemingly miles across and apparently floating above the horizon. The bright yellow colour with patches of grey is the result of Guernsey's north beaches reflecting the sun. The supposed radar traces are nothing more than common radar anomalies.

I was returning from Cornwall that day, I saw this and indeed it was very odd, a number of people in other cars were also looking. I've no idea what it was, but I only saw big one properly, it was more rectangular than round, the smaller one was round, perspective of the objects to the sky was odd too. Both were very bright however, like looking at a turned on opaque lighting tube. This is the second time i've seen something coming back from Cornwall.

He looks at the window where he saw the object. as a pilot and not a tv artist such an interview certainly caused him some discomfort, he looks outside to relief his pressure. one thing is true: a short interview in video is no reliable tool for analysis.

I think a pilot is very credible. I'm pretty sure the photo is not fake in that case. Weather or not the object is made by humans, a natural object, or made by 'non-humans'... that still remains unanswered.
