  • I f_cking hate beige! Why the f_ck did they have to choose that crappy color for the interior!?

Ah, well... too late to do anything about that now. At least Voyager and DS9 got it right; nice clean grays, blacks, and silvers... it focuses the attention to the monitors/displays/buttons and the people's natural skin tones because of how they contrast each other. Enterprise E... well, it's okay, I guess....

  • I have personally stood on the Enterprise D bridge....twice!

  • wow they had stuff this sophisticated in 94...

  • @sbeer6er That's the truly amazing thing. TNG came out in '87 and it still looks better than anything real or fictional to this day. Most sci-fi becomes outdated rather quickly, but TNG is simply elegant and classical in its style.

I sometimes swear Steve Jobs copied the LCARS look (more or less) when designing the iphone. But lcars still looks better.

  • @baillou2 id rather think about it in reverse: that star trek next gen not only predicted but also deeply influenced the tech of the next generation.

  • @ocerg1111 That was exactly what I was saying :P

  • @baillou2 The Ent-D had elegance, but to my eyes, the best looking functional military bridge I've seen was that of the seaQuest DSV 4600. Somehow it just felt *real*.

  • wish i could get my old star trek software to work on windows 7.

  • I had that until I updated my computer & it wouldn't run anymore. Now that they have the DOS emulators, I of course don't have it anymore.

    I'm a loser.

It was one of the best ST:TNG game/manuals ever!

  • nice

  • I have this program. I always wanted to actually be on this bridge. It's easily my favorite of all Star Trek bridges. It looks so warm and cozy, you could have a tea party there...or a rave, whatever! It's just so cozy.

  • wow i still have this

  • Me too, but shame it doesn't play on XP/Vista.

  • yeah u can get it to play on xp or vista just use a DOS emulator

  • Is there a DOS emulator that comes with Vista?

  • Just use DosBox, google it and download it, use it to run DOS based games...

  • it comes from star trek captains chair 1999

  • It is from the Star Trek Technical Manual cd rom that was released in 1994..

  • @imranbecks

cool. does it run on Windows Vista?

  • USS Enterprise NCC 1701-D

  • ggod clip.nice information

  • Someone needs to do a CGI version of this bridge

  • yeah and put it into the best star trek game on earth. imagine a GTA like system where you can go anywhere on the ship, and then go to the shuttle bay and take off and then go and hijack alien ships and space pimps lol

  • Yup.. It is from the Star Trek Technical Manual cd rom that was released in 1994..

  • i can't find it online for download, i guess i will have to find it on e-bay or something.

  • It is from the Computer Game Star Trek Technical Manual outcome 1994.
