this is how you will know the republican establishment has their hooks into Cain when and if he wins the nomination.......you will see a Cain/Rubio ticket in Florida.
Cain thinks he can take Florida on his own, he won the straw poll there handily.
if Cain has his way I would bet he would choose a very experienced political person as his VP.
thats what he must do anyway to beat Obama, cant have two rookies on the team, wont work....so he will choose a big name to run with.
@Battlefoe A Cain/Rubio ticket would be fine with me. Almost at the point of throwing up my hands and just saying "anyone but Obama" even if we see a Romney-led ticket... :(
well my friend, the ticket all depends on how strong the people of this country really are. This is one of the most important Presidential Elections of our lifetime . The people rising up and are screaming with a loud voice at Washington, the ticket depends all upon whether or not the people break and are beaten down by the GOP establishment...if that happens, Romni/Rubio will be your ticket in 2012.
If the people win you will see a Cain ticket, non politician.
Hey dude like your video's , but in regards to Ron Paul i'm going to have to agree to disagree. Just not a fan. Don't feel like typing out a long blah , blah as to why . it's a mood thing at this moment in time. I do like Herman Cain.
@computerpurple hey CP no worries - I get it too. Back in 2008 I think he really wasted an opportunity to really start a true third party movement, so I'm a bit disillusioned about him. At least Cain is NOT a politician, eh?
@THINKfutureShow Do look forward to watching your video's , Bet your eye doctor would say to keep your eyes not so close to the light bulb. I cringe sometimes in worry that you are going to bump into the light bulb. Take care because obama care isn't so pretty.
Would be a loser for sure, I love Ron Paul however, Florida is the main battleground for the Presidency and the GOP will have to win Florida to take the White House next year....Obama won Florida in 08.......GOP has to take Rubio as VP to cement the Florida primary....so a Cain/Paul ticket couldnt do that.
as much as I wish it could.....there can never be a ticket called Cain/Paul
Suggesting this ticket understates the importance of the Federal Reserve in the ongoing debate. Ron Paul and his supporters take the Austrian economics view and assign the blame for the current economic malaise to a business cycle initiated by the Fed. We believe that there are people out there who want to whack Ron Paul for his stance on the Fed, period.
@machaeroguy Agreed. However I think that the vast majority of Americans - the ones we need in order to see a Paul presdency don't feel that the Fed issue is as important as his foreign policy. They call Paul a "loon" because he doesn't want to go to war against our enemies, not his stance against the Fed, no matter how righteous that stance is. People in general just don't get the urgency and I think that will be his undoing...
@THINKfutureShow True. This represents a large failure on his part, and a failure of his campaign, organized and grassroots, myself included. I've been trying to find a new angle, and I think going to stick with..."Wonder why both parents have to work just to squeak by? Look at the Fed. Wonder why people can't save money and have to gamble in the stock market just to keep pace with inflation? Look at the Fed. Want to know why big banks get bailed out, and we get screwed? Look at the Fed."
@machaeroguy As far as foreign policy, it's clearly a moral debate. Frankly, I don't understand how people who are mostly Christian can tolerate death on such a mass scale. This is the hardest part for me to break through with most conservatives, so I generally stick to the wasteful spending/counter-productive arguments when discussing foreign policy.
@machaeroguy You and I know it - but there seems to be no way to make that direct connection for people who don't get it. To them its like "oh there goes Ron Paul harping about that Fed thing again while I lose my job, healthcare or house" it's like they are invisible, unconnectable. Designed that way I'm sure...
@USC118 the way I see it - people DO love Ron Paul - they just don't like his foreign policy - no matter how much we understand that our overseas "adventures" hurt us in the long run - too many of the rest of the electorate think Ron Paul is "weak" on foreign policy, which if you ask me is the reason most won't vote for him..
Well said. People are waking up and realizing that our foreign policy is unsustainable, but the rate at which people are figuring this out is incredibly slow, and of those that have figured it out, many are afraid to vote for politicians who support those views.
I'm not a fan of Cain, and given that one of Paul's top platform issues is the Federal Reserve, I don't think Paul would co-run with someone who thinks it's fine.
I agree on the fact that if we're gonna turn this country around there's gotta be a stop gap. We gotta deconstruct the entitlement society one piece at a time and while Ron Paul actually has the right idea, the problem is there's too many people who don't have the will to get off from the gov't tit. You gotta ween them off first and I believe Cain could do it. What I hope Cain does is make Ron Paul VP or at least treasury secretary, he needs the opportunity to show us what he'll do.
@NamelessFlux Agreed. We need SOME steps, preferable GIANT, but I'd take baby steps right now. My gut tells me that Romney and Perry are both basically Obama Lite and will both take us towards socialism - just slower than Obama did - like McCain would have...
@fuckyouobama1 Ah. No worries. I'm still not supporting him. After living in Texas under Rick Perry, where McDonald's was hiring $2.50 over minimum wage, Perry has my support.
@fuckyouobama1 You're buying that bill of goods from the Fifth Column press? You don't remember they tried the same thing on Clarence Thomas? *facepalm*

Herman Cain once worked for the Federal Reserve, and Ron Paul wants to abolish it! That would be an interesting combo for the presidency.
Herman Cain could use some help when it comes to foreign policy, and he should take lesson from Ron Paul.
