I remember when I first started watching clannad when I was like 12 when it had just come out... they just don't make animes like this anymore. I'm a guy and I didn't cry or anything but this was pretty touching stuff especially the 2nd season.I hardly watch animes now(kinda outgrown them I guess) but this anime would stay with me for a long time

@AsianFanatique I have to agree with your friend. Angel Beats could've been great but wasted its potential. The first 3 episodes were pretty good but after that it became random. But the worst thing is the ending, the way they treated one of the main characters was just horrible, even background characters got a better sendoff than her -_-.

The sad reason is that Angel Beats was intended to be a 26 episode anime, but midseason, the executives abruptly cut it down to 13, leaving plot threads unresolved. The director wasn't happy with that at all.

Yeah, Angel Beats could have been much, much better, but I still liked it.
