  • bring back memories of the 80's, high school pep rallies on fridays before the game.

  • i'd rather listen to this dope track than this trash hip hop has turned into today any day of the week!

  • the dancers in the background were just kids from around the way wit talent

  • 10th grade

  • SMH on how hip hop has changed. You could actually put around the way girls in the videos wearing regular clothes, it wasn't about having the most voluptuous models in high-end lingerie..

  • say what you want about Kid N Play or the music from the "Golden Era", this is one of the baddest hip hop songs ever...I still do that slide on Soooooul Power

  • Death of RUN-DMC

  • 2011 and this is still hot

  • Respond to this video... CLASSIC. I.O.U dancers killed it. Takes me back to the club the L.Q.

  • man this bring back memories this was really fun to watch and still is i like how everyone is just having fun dancing to the music it looks like they had a blast making this video wow how music has changed

  • As dope as Kid N Play was, they still don't get the props the really deserve. After their first two videos. They REVOLUTIONIZED HIP-HOP. Everybody was dancin like them, dressin like them, wearin hair dyed high top fades like them. Don't forget they were the first Hip-Hop group to star in a SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON (before Hammer did). If you really love Hip-Hop, you must give them RESPECT!! Nuff said...

  • GREAT ADD. I always wanted to dance in this video when I was younger. PAY CLOSE ATTN 2 the kid @ :50, left corner blue windbreaker, white shorts, white hat, white kicks, next to the DeeJay. He freaked it ! I used to know how to do that dance. !!!!!!

  • Hurby Luv Bug programmed THE FUCK OUTTA THESE DRUMZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Speechless. He don't get his props as a Legendary producer..Salt N Pepa, Kid N Play, Dana Dane, Sweet Tee, Kwamé

  • @dividedsoulsent Salt N Pepa called him the original Puffy in an interview. He certainly didn't get the props but that was made up for with the royalties he raked in from the publishing. :)

  • One of my favorite videos to watch back in the day.

  • When Hip Hop was fun

  • the guy in yellow at the beginning is goin Completely HAM in dis video... lol

  • Dancing in the 80's an early 90's was like doing the PX90 program.

  • Girls did more dancing back in the 80's and showed more Hip Hop skills.

  • This video just goes RIGHT OVER MOST PEOPLE'S HEADS. Super classic production, rhyming, dancing- the whole package.

  • HOW MANY POUNDS WERE THOSE SHIRTS?!

  • This is one of the BEST REAL HIP HOP DANCE VIDEO'S EVER w/REAL HIP HOP DANCERS NOT MADE UP SHIT. NO FUNBOYS W/THEY HAT BACKWARDS CLAIMING TO BE HIP HOP DANCERS

  • @soulbrotherlegendary SELEMA, SHANE, MUHAMMAD, MIKE SWIFT, CLIFF LOVE. LEGENDARY HIP HOP DANCERS, THE REAL DEAL no Made up shits

  • i have to say tho its soooo funny to see the fashion back then... what were we thinking! lol

  • you can't front on kid n play ecpecially when it came to dancing back in the day!.. hip hop was so much fun then!

  • One of the best rap videos of the day. Well-edited and conveys the excitement of the song AND you could show it to your folks without them being offended.

  • when rap music was about dancing not killing ! Why can't it go back ? This is how rap was meant to be done !

  • wahts worng music now

  • Everyone could dance back then! The Kid&Play, the Wop, The Running Man, The Robocop, the Cabbage Patch! Those were the days!

  • 2 dudes dressing alike seems so lame now but i remeber when me & David would get excited if we could find matching clothes @ Oaktree in Gulfgate mall back in like 91

  • bumping!

  • come on come on baby

  • @2:04-@2:12 Kid was gettin' it!

  • Damn, I was 14 when this came out.

    Time sure does fly!

  • Mad Skillz, Hot Beat, and EVERYbody and they Daddy was movin in the video.

    I miss this era.

  • wish i would have been older in the 90's thts were my soul stayed and stays

  • I was 12 when this dropped! Hi Top fade, polka dots! The mid to late 80's was hip hop's best era!

  • Its refreshing to see rappers dancing. Not just walking back and forth with 50 homeboys on stage.

  • Blast from the past...this was my jam

  • This is when rap was fun and all about partying. I really miss these days.

  • Best dance ever.

  • Inspired a lot of brothas to start dancing back in the 80s and 90s...

  • Dang, I remember all of these dances!

  • kid n play got soul power!!

  • the brother at the 2:oo min mark in the all white was the dopest dancer in hollywood...I know I went to college with him...his name is peanut..a Omega Psi Phi..from Baton Rouge La..

  • ...most black people in this video are likely now unemployed. this economy is f*cked up, especially for our people.

  • can u peep the original jordans? man i love the memories....

  • Play this song at a party I bet you people will get up and dance.

  • Hip Hop was so fun at this time...i was a dancing ass youngbul. One of the freshest and most original groups in Hip Hop...Iconic. Shit they had their own dance...it don't get no cooler.

  • @HipHopByThePound I agree! Never be another Kid n Play! Gettin Funky!!!

  • These guys were dope! I miss this era. Real old school rap here!

  • I love this song and the vodeo is so much fun!!!

  • I dont care what anybody asays I always liked kid n play and this song is so dope you cant deny that shit..

  • Awwwwwwwwww Shit! This is my shit right here. Never seen this video b4. Thanks for posting

  • This is dope! I miss that kind of energy in videos-dances that everybody can do, but fun and challenging at the same time! I remember everybody in jr high-highschool learning these dances! This video is just Black Folks havin' a good time bein' US-not oversexualized, ganster glorifyin' bullshit that our kids are bombarded with! There is a war in Hip Hop and the bad guys have been winning since like '94! This beat is better than the shit I'm hearing these days too-duuh!, it's Herbie Lovebug!

  • this is HIP HOP. =)

  • classic...

  • i really love this video, it's that ultamite old school jam, shout out 2 85'

  • Probably the best dance video in Hip-Hop. I loved their music!!! It made you hype, it made you smile, it made you appreciate your youth. Thanks, Kid n Play, your music is TIMELESS!!!!!

  • AAAAHH Memories, this is my favorite Kid N Play song @ video

  • This is one funky as RAP!!!!!!! Everybody should be able to dance to this!!!!!!!

  • why hasn't kid n play gotten honored by vhi house party is a classic not to mention the dance the albums they have made a great contribution to hip hop.....go to any club people will still bust out with the kid n play .....vh-1 is sleeping on them

  • @braidedgirl757 CAUSE VH1 IS FULL OF SHHH..... this is real hip hop here. =)

  • @braidedgirl757 basically because the people deciding who should get honored isn't a part of what hip-hop culture is..people within the hip-hop culture; REGARDLESS OF RACE, already know the contribution of kid 'n play as well as jazzy jeff and the fresh prince (will smith), both of which are severely underrated simply for being themselves...just my opinion..

  • R.R.B. Yo Dis Iz My Favorite Video Of All Tymez, Yeah There Soft But Oh So Entertaining, Kooliest Duo In Hip Hip History.

  • best song from kid n play

  • Man I remember this was my CUT back in the day!!! When we could party JUST LIKE THIS for hours and hours. Man, the kids today don't know what they missed!!!!

  • better tahn souljah boy rapping and dancing wise

  • If you don't dance to this than you're comatose

  • This is hip hop at it's peak. Believe me when I tell you that Los Angeles was gettin' funky to this as well. During this time dance crews were also doing routines to this.

  • Their dj was awsome listen to bridges in the song!

  • look at the moves

  • loved the 80's rap even more with the so called bullshit that going for rap now; with exceptions to Jay-Z and a few others

  • A lot of people didnt want to admit these guys were cool. great album

  • this is the era when black people showed love n respect to 1another w out any problems we gave props if we got defeated in a battle,dance-off,beat-box,shot da 5th,or da flyiest shorty wop or freshest BK's.Now its all fucked up everybody sleep

  • @jeweldroppa fun, creative...not all about bitches and ho's or nasty lyrics although two live crew probably first introduced the "new rap"

  • @jeweldroppa I agreee, now people are ready to fight and kill over stupidness.

  • @jeweldroppa Sorry to burst your bubble but the 80's and early nineties was one of the worst eras for black people in America. That's when crack came in our neighborhoods and shootings occurred everyday. That's why we escaped through music.

  • @jeweldroppa . I dig it brah. That was the deal. Real talk....

  • This song reminds me of all the good times I had back in high school: going to pep rallies, talent contests, crushes, and me begging my grandma to let me get a salt-n-pepa haircut!!

  • Damn..... this is when rap music was good. This is true hip hop. Eventhough some of it is cool every once in awhile, I'm so tired of them talking about the same ol sh*t! It's soooooo old!!

  • I was born a year after this song was made, but im so thankful my dad brought me up on REAL hip hop and beats like these!

Such a positive track! Just fun and cool!

  • When this song came I was in Eighth grade 13 years old this was the PARTY ANTHEM!!!! Along with KRS, RAKIM, AND BIG DADDY KANE!!!!!

  • the only word for this is that its FRESH!

  • we used to dance on the street when my friends play this in his car tremont ave bx

  • am 32 going on 33..when this was out i was 11...i remember me n my brother watchin this video on..video music box those from nyc remember vmb...we use too stand up n do all the dance moves gett hype of it n that we can mimic kid n play..i got all three albums on my zune..love the classic better then the bs music n rapper out now...

  • @4eyenigga Same age same story. lol I remember my parents not giving a fuck about rap this video and me being like how can this video not take your mind over?? lol

  • @12107170 hell yeah man

  • @4eyenigga before cable to whatch VMB we had to turn to the UFH channel. Then try to find channel 31

  • @rexboogie o word..lol nah we could pick up 31 easy..i never forget my homeboy derrick at the time it qas 1987 1988..we was n school he was like when u get home watch video music box he was like it on channel 31 n it hype boyee u get too see big daddy kane epmd boogie down production all the hype videos thats whut he said...i was hook it cam on 3pm to 4pm..then yrs later it cam on channel 25 by trhen everybody was on mtv n bet..

  • @4eyenigga Yeah me and My little Brother do the same thing we got all the Kid N' Play moves and everytime i watch a video i learn more and one day I'm gonna recreate Kid N' Play too live on the Legacy

  • this was tha $hit!!!!

  • you my favorite channel for this!!!!! did did dnt den den!!!!

  • omg!!! 2:08 look @ little mama to the far right!!! doin her thang. I guess shes probaly bout 30yrs. old today;)

  • why dont we do this anymore?

  • its because back then, "all" rappers were from new york & it was more of an art form, ep. dancing, flips, breakin etc., but then other rappers from diff states like Cali, florida, "dirty south" got on board & totally tainted the genre with meaniless messages ep. sex, drugs, gangs, money etc.

  • Hip Hop back then was fun and positive...such as this track. Now it's crap and very negative.

  • Does anyone know the sampled music in this track?

  • classic kid n play joint my favorite

  • 2nd...Best...Kid 'n Play...song...ever.

  • takin it back WHOA, one of my fav tracks from back then, even tho they were not that great this was a certified CLASSIC.....

  • yo i remember me and my homeboy use to battle other kats to songs like this

  • classic rap! and one of my fav videos back then.

  • This reminds me of running home from school to see Rap City, man he had like one hour a day for some serious rap music! Nowadays these brats just turn on the tv or radio in the middle of the afternoon and it's all you see: rap rap rap rap rap. No wonder it's so watered down and uncreative now, there's so much of it that it all blends together

  • Young people, let this video serve as a lesson for you. Should you ever be taking a walk some night and are suddenly surrounded by a bunch of people dancing, there's only 1 thing to do.,.. start rappin'!

  • HELL YEAH! ... Ol' School in the house! ... Man, this here was MY JAM back in the day! I remember this joint from back when I was a snotty-nosed little junior high school kid; when it came on the radio, the kids on the bus would bob their heads, and even bust a move or two to the beat! Kid 'N' Play definitely represented back in the day--I used to LOVE the album! This song, "Rollin' With Kid 'N' Play," and "Last Night" were my favorites. ... Of course, the video was off the hook, too! Classic.

  • When dancing was the shit, cuz now nobody does anything except look at each other and mug.

  • Ah good times

  • They really need to have a reunion tour. I know Kid attempted a comeback as a solo artist, and Play is involved with the church. Everyone should also remember how much us Jamaicans contributed to Hip Hop( Shout out to Kid!).

  • I Agree, They was the best tag-team rappers of the old school hip-hop era...they can make money if they were to do a reunion tour...I'd pay to see that!

  • yeah this was when it was fun. Rappers now are so scary sometimes when you go to a show you are scared to dance cause they mean mug you so.

  • wow....when hip hop actually lived up to its name!

  • been years since I last saw this...

  • Good video.

  • THIS IS MY ISHHHHHHH

    thanks for posting

  • I am with you! this was my favorite video by them

  • this video reminds of high school. we would have pep rallys on fridays before the game, everybody would start dancing just like this in the bleachers.

  • @blakdog90 REMEMBER THAT SH....????????????

  • I loved this time in hip hop... when everybody danced thier own way and partys clubs had an energy that was just positive an fun.
