that step fracture in the beginning looked like it would have posed challenge to a novice, but with that bear of a billet i bet a first weeker could have tackled it with a simple tap!
Wow, very cool Edbo. I'll agree with everybody else... Never seen a bopper that big before, and man you sure can use it! Very fast reduction. It would have taken me a half hour to get that far with moose and solid copper. I liked how you changed technique to keep it off the pad when you needed big fan flakes to remove saw marks all the way across without hinges of step. You got the technique! Very instructive! Thanks...
As always, your skill with your brand of bopper amazes me. I think you could make a bi-face out of a banana! I hope we get to see you finish that piece of rock!
i don't like slabs either, especially obsidian slabs, but seeing you go at the piece of buffalo river like that was nice. especially with the skill and speed which you did it at
This video helps a lot, watching you work on a slab gives the viewer a better understanding of soft hammer percussion.

and slabs, learn how to break a boulder apart and then make a blade, you would fail if you didnt have your copper tools

Now that's a monster bopper! You do make it look easy with that thing. Now, if I can just get flakes to travel that far...

my English is not good..a question, which buys copper cap?

Big caps are available at plumber suppliers/warehouses.
Ask a plumber where he gets his copper pipes and caps.

Very interesting the kind of percussore used in copper,
you should try it with stones with the cortical to see if it works well?
Thank you
