Edward and Stefen are different, Elana and Bella are different, and Damon and Jacob are definitely different so no need to compare or fight over the two!!! L.J. Smith originally wrote 4 books, published in 1991. she is now continuing the story with 3 new books. "Night Fall" has been published, and the next two will come in 2010 and 2011 . In these last 3 books, Damon will have a much bigger part, to our pleasure ;)

the biggest issue with twilight is no one is beautiful especially the vampires and they all vamps that would get their ass kick even by mortals. Damon and Stefan is would kick edward cullen's ass. eric northman and bill compton would rip edward to pieces literally.

dude - "Steph Meyer is a good writer" ?? Im guessing you dont major in litteratur, no offense.. She's a terrible writer. The storyline might be good, (And if you ask me. its stolen) , but her way of writing is kinda like.. a bad fan fiction. She has no skill whatsoever in writing, she just "came up" with this story. And reading the books, while having in mind all the editing jobs done on it, it just surprises me why they havent done a BETTER job at editing it, because honestly, its BAD!

i agree. if u r a reader i mean like grisham and ludlum and sheldon and nora roberts [the in death series is BOSS!] and other great writers u'd kno that the writing in twilight is pretty poor. the dialoque is horrible sometimes wen i was reading it i would cringe. BUT the plot is really gud i think and alot of the characters are so interesting that u r willing to suffer the poor writing quality just to find out wat happens to them. not being mean, it's just wat is.

That's cause Damon's not rally a bad guy.He's selfish and has no restraint or boundaries when it comes to feeding but it's just that Stefan is more of a'Jump to save the girl than think about it' guy and Damon just isn't.Stefan is plain noble and he would rather get himself killed while trying to help an Damon would think of a way to save the others without getting himself staked.But hed never admit it cause he's so proud and actually wants people to think hes bad.He's got some serious issues...

I have liked vampires since they were not popular and I cant wait for it to go back to that way. And these books came way before twilight, and I think are going to be changed a lot for the TV show.
