I think the GOP will campaign on the issue of reforming the newly passed health care insurance bill. Repeal is out of the question. Forcing the poor to purchase health insurance (which must be subsidized by the wealthy) is just not the American way. Requiring small businesses to provide health insurance for employees will drive up costs for everyone. Eventually, health insurance companies will go out of business and Big Brother will be there to offer the single payer option. Welcome to Canada.
Let me remind you: This has been going on for years; we are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you are going to pass legislation that will cover 300 [million] American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people."
You are wrong about the children being covered. That will not happen until 2014. Oh and if you really think the health care issue is a good thing you are saddly mistaken. No matter how good it sounds it's a bad thing. The government cannot back up what it just passed.
I can tell that the maker of this video is sincere in their beliefs. But the maker cannot say that ObamaCare was not passed without reconciliation, which is essentially an end run around normal business in the Senate. Too many deals were made as well. Too many people, the majority, did not want the bill to pass. The majority did not get their way. Pelosi, Reid, and Obama got THEIR way. That was not correct. This should make for an interesting election this November.

You're trying to depict Republicans as sticking up for big business by "trying to take away small business's tax credits" to pay for their employee's health care... Business are FAILING! Without the bill, they would get to keep that money. The govt is saying, "we'll give you $2 just so you can give us 6$." The bill is a bailout for big pharma. Just google "Fact Sheet: The Truth About the Health Care Bill". You're claims are ignorant and false. Thank god the majority of ppl know what's going on
@BmoreStyles I dont need to depict Republicans as sticking up for big business... they are! they want to keep things just as they are. If they had there way nothing would happen and it would stay just how it is with a couple of small things that will never see the right of day. Sorry but they had 6 years to do anything about this and they did nothing, nothing, nothing. sorry but if they try to run on repeal they will lose
@BmoreStyles also this idea that "majority of ppl know what's going on" is a lie. The fact is they get more of there info from places like FOX NEWS and think its fact. @TheArmy19D in all first world nations but us health care is a right and over time people will that as well in this nation. The coming depression cant be compared to the great depression in the 30's, we're talking a regression back to 350AD and a new dark age. In the 30's people knew how to take care of themselves for the most part. Most people farmed and put things back for hard times. We were an industrial creditor nation back then, the exact opposite of today. Buckle up it s coming and Obama is making sure of it
Have you seen what major industries are saying this will cost them in the first year alone? ATT 1billion, CAT 300 million, Verizon 800million, and many others. You think this isn't going to cause a halt to any new jobs being created, or even massive layoffs? You need to take a long hard look at what this administration is doing and ask yourself if these policies are going to help our economy or destroy it. Obama is leading this country into a depression the likes of which have never been seen
There is no way that most people are going to like this bill. You think your public option isn't in the bill, but it certainly is. You tell me how any insurance company will be able to accept all people with pre conditions.They will be forced to close because they can't afford to accept these patients unless they raise their premiums by 10000%, at which time the dems will say this is unacceptable, we must have a gov ins co. Dont kid yourself this is a gov takeover of HC for power and control
Shit 1/2 way through this and just like a lib you havent said jack shit. Who do you think you are. why don't you just sit in frount of the camera and say give me this give me that. fat lazy fuck. go home find some soap.shave and get rid of the lady glasses.
@mef75baby I know but they dont get it. They kicked him out of his job and just put there fingers in there ears and act like it was never said. but the more and more the people see what is really in the bill they like it. The GOP has lied so much that now people are seeing them for what they are and will not reward them in nov.
Bill is unconstitutional, if passed it will be challenged and at the very least gutted if not tossed out all together.
I hope the libs ram this through via the back door, people in this Country are beyond angry and will make the libs pay dearly in the midterms. People are so angry that the (R). could run on repeal and win. Look at what happened in Mass. I am still stunned that Brown won.
With the shape of our economy it all really doesn't matter, things are going to get very ugly soon.
@CNEBUCKS you understand that Obama was a constitutional lawyer and knows more about the constitutional then you will ever know. Also the way they are going to pass the bills has been used by the GOP more then the Dems and has also been used to reform health care in the past... what do you think the R in COBRA is for? Also S-CHIP was passed the same way. And Brown won more do to the fact that the Dem ran a bad race. So next time you come to my page and say something see that your facts are right
Means jack, he's a radical and could care less about the constitution, the GOP has never used it to pass anything nearly this big and every single time there has been bipartisan support. They know the American people do not want this, if this bill was so great the libs (that have had the majority) could have passed this long ago. This bill is not for the people, the libs was to pass this monstrosity for power (plain and simple)>.
@CNEBUCKS also if you look at the raw numbers the economy is on its way back and by the summer or at latest you will see the turnabout in full swing. This is not me just saying this but people who really look at the numbers saying this and they dont work for Obama. Also the health care bill will help the nation by giving tax brakes for small biz and most of the taxes on the right will not kick in for over a year and we will be really back on track then. but facts dont mean anything right?
LMAO, Barry has run up the largest deficit in the shortest time of any President in history. Millions out of work, 100 trillion in debt. If you think this bill will save money and help people then pal you've been pounding to many Twinkies. You need a shave, a tooth brush and also need to drop a few tons.
FAT FUCKING LIBERALS LIKE YOU ARE THE CANCER OF THIS COUNTY, FUCK YOU AND YOUR ENTITLEMENTS!!!
@CNEBUCKS first off lets see, your wrong, most of that 100 trillion was there before Obama walked in the door. but see that called a fact and I dont think you would know one if you see it. Also the stuff Obama did to help save the nation from going to hell in a hand basket after the bush years lets wall st and the banks go wild did cost but also put us on the road back from something that would have almost killed us. Please next time get your facts right become you come at me.
Fact: Reagan more than TRIPPLED the National Debt raising it 189% over 8 years!
Fact: Bush took a budget surplus and turned it into $1.2 trillion deficit by the end of his term! Not to mention he DOUBLED The National debt!
Obama inherited a $1.2 trillion deficit that now stands a $1.3 trillion due to the stimulus and he inherited an 8 trillion dollar national debt that now sits at 9 trillion again because of the stimulus projections. He increased the debt 12.5% this pails in comparison.
Where the fuck are you getting your figures? You cant use ebonic math, not on my watch mother fucker. How could he have only increased the debt by 100 billion like you say he did? Hell boy, his bullshit stimulus costs 800billion. Go back to school, or pick up a book, or an abacus, or something.
@jjrglobal where the fuck did you go to school, jackass? First of all, the $787 Billion dollar price tag is a figure of projection over TIME added to the Debt if revenues were to remain as is. FYI the same formula was applied to the Iraq War funding which was 1.8 Trillion added tothe debt! Where was the tea party then?
Wrong the 787 billion was not projected over time, it was projected at 1.3 trillion. And what did we get from the 787 billion? I know what we got with Bushs 800 billion, most of which has already been paid back with interest. I dont agree with any bailouts or bullshit stimulus packages and I damn sure dont agree with any Keynesian economists. The Democrats caused this problem not Bush. This crisis goes all the way back to FDR and the creation of Fannie Mae
@jjrglobal Wrong genius show me an article where the CBO projected the Stimulus at 1.3 Trillion! The number is a projection of the debt owed over TIME!. The Iraq war did not cost 1.8 Trillion in 2003. This cost is calculated over TIME! Continue.......
@jjrglobal The budget deficit for 2009 was 1.2 Trillion and this year it is 1.3 Trillion. If you don't believe me check with the Congressional Budget Office. The National Debt which is what the 787 Billion is applied to is 9 Trillion, and last year it was 8 Trillion.
The national debt is $12,663,199,900,135, thats real time according to the national debt clock. Look you seem like a reasonably intelligent person since you are pushing the party I belong to. Im not a republican, I'm a conservative Libertarian. Like most Libertarians I am from the Austrian School of thought. We place the blame where it belongs, It starts with the Fed Reserve's manipulation of interest rates, then to Fannie Freddie, CRA of 1977 pushed hard by Clinton, Bush
@jjrglobal Oh and FDR policies caused this crash 65 years after he left office? Get the fuck outta here lol!!!!!The blame is on Reagan and Clinton DEREGULATION! You ever heard the saying ":When the kitty is away the mouse shall play"? I digg it that you are a conservative but REPUBLICANS are conservative in rhetoric only. You're Conservative? GO LIBERTARIAN!
@mef75baby When Clinton and Bush pushed the CRA and put a quota on banks to make a certain amount of loans to minorities, the only way they could comply is by lowering lending standards. With the standards lowered the banks pushed the lower quality loans onto Fannie n Freddie. Wallstreet could not have behaved like this without the GSE's and moral hazard policies and agencies that had been created over the last 100 years. Wallstreet is not to blame, they did what gov mandated they do
@jjrglobal That contributed but you had a number of middle-class folks with good credit who became victims!Mortgage companies were telling everyone to refinance. They took advantage of seniors especially! It was greed brought on by deregulation in the late 90's early 00's that really made the market bubble and burst!
All made possible by the laws being pushed by congress and the near zero interest rate at the discount window manipulated by the FOMC. None of this shit could have happened if we did not have a central bank giving away money for free to the charter member banks. It is not a coincidence that a large number of business make bad decisions at the same time, it is because the Fed engages in central economic planning. Rothbard won a nobel prize for work on this subject. check it out
@jjrglobal I didn't like Bush buying banks either but consider the alternative. We would have a World Market Failure where 90% of capital is FROZEN! You would have whole governments going under and probably a 70% unemployment rate here in the U.S. This was a no brainer!
I think the government screwed the system up so bad that Bush really had no choice. Obama did though, the stimulus has really hurt our economy. Short term it helped but very short term. Surely you dont believe in the "jobless recovery"?
You said this earlier "Bush added to the debt because it was the cool thing to do", so I assumed you were against the bank bailout. I didnt like it but I felt it was necessary given the fragile state. As far as the stimulus, it was my understanding that they borrowed that money, spent all but 225 billion, which is in slush fund that they are proposing to use on this newest mortgage bailout
@jjrglobal I didn't like the fact we had to do the bailout but I wasn't against it. I understood why it was nessasary. What I was against was the Bush Tax Cuts, Medicare Part D and The Iraq War all not paid for and just added to the debt without a peep from anyone. At least when Obama has a pet project he makes an attempt to pay for it without adding to the debt! Stimulus was the exeption!
Im never against tax cuts, but we need spending cuts to go along with them. But tax cuts actually generate more revenue for the Fed because of higher growth and more cooperation from tax payers. As for adding to an already bankrupt entitlement system, I think we both know how stupid that is, which is why I cant believe you are for this health care. You dont really think this will be deficit neutral do you? The CBO only scores what is in front of them, so their analysis is worthless
jjrglobal's an imbecile. Revenues to the federal government drive policy and programming, moron. That's what taxes are for. If you want to quit your job and then go to the store to USE YOUR CREDIT CARD for your groceries, that's fine. That's also fiscal INSANITY. That's what Bush and the GOP did for 8 yrs. Borrowed-and-borrowed-and-spent. Gave themselves tax cuts (thus cutting their income) and then spent like clowns, doubling the National Debt to $12 trillion. Get it, dufus? No, I guess not.
jjrglobal still doesn't know that TAX CUTS DO NOT GENERATE MORE REVENUE for the federal government. They're not related to each other. Period. The idea that Businesses will, on their own, use the boon tax cuts, to increase production, thus increasing sales, and thus increasing revenues to the government is the REPUBLICAN PILE OF SHIT that they've sold to us since Reagan gave us huge Debt/Deficits using his VOODOO economic theories. We all know that tax cuts go DIRECTLY to CEO-profits. Period.
What a moronic statement. So there is no correlation to tax revenue and tax rates? What if the tax rate was 100%? You think you would get more revenue with a tax rate of 100% or a tax rate of 50%? There is no legitimate argument against the laffer curve, it is not only logical but has been proven historically. When Reagan dropped tax rates, the federal government brought in more money, thats a fact. Another fact, you're an idiot that knows nothing about economics
@jjrglobal the best way I can explain the debt so you understand is like this...If you finance a home for $200,000 you don't actually pay the $200,000 up front. You have a mortgage payment of say $1000 a month. Think of the budget deficit as our yearly mortgage and the national debt as the full life of the $200,000 loan.
mef75baby is right on target. Bush and the GOP doubled the National Debt to just under $12 trillion in 8 short yrs. They birthed 2 failed, unpaid-for, ongoing wars, that they were too incompetent to finish, and punted to the next guy. Let's not even go into failing to protect us on 9/11, Bush's number 1 job. Finally, trainwrecking the economy and giving Obama a record $1.3 trillion deficit on Day 1, with a huge recession, and record unemployment and business failures. GOP = domestic terrorists.
@jjrglobal my second point is that the only time Obama added to the debt was when he was advised by conservative and progressive economist that he had to because of the economic crisis. Bush added to the debt because it was the cool thing to do! I respect fiscal conservatives but you should consider LIBERTARIAN!
Those same number crunchers that were blindsided by this crisis and said no one could have seen it coming. I beg to differ, Peter Schiff wrote a goddamn book laying out exactly how and why this crisis was going to happen. I trust Schiff, Roubini, Faber, Talib, and Ron Paul a whole hell of a lot more than the Keynesian idiots that you're talking about that believe the worst is behind us. Austrians know whats coming, and Austrians predictions are always correct
Republicans tend to be more easily stereotyped than many other political types. This, by the way, is a working definition of "conservative". They tend to be whiter (caucasian), richer, older, greedier in a cynical way than many and are convinced they are both more right (and righteous) and smarter than anyone else.
I'm guess you don't like the Republicans. I'm not from America, but I still disliked the Republicans, even though they cannot directly affect my life.
I think the GOP will campaign on the issue of reforming the newly passed health care insurance bill. Repeal is out of the question. Forcing the poor to purchase health insurance (which must be subsidized by the wealthy) is just not the American way. David Frum wrote an excellent piece on this topic! Obama has put a wrestling move on THE G.O.P. they will NEVER FORGET!!
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby I know but they dont get it. They kicked him out of his job and just put there fingers in there ears and act like it was never said. but the more and more the people see what is really in the bill they like it. The GOP has lied so much that now people are seeing them for what they are and will not reward them in nov.
thetruthaboutstuff 1 year ago
Bill is unconstitutional, if passed it will be challenged and at the very least gutted if not tossed out all together.
I hope the libs ram this through via the back door, people in this Country are beyond angry and will make the libs pay dearly in the midterms. People are so angry that the (R). could run on repeal and win. Look at what happened in Mass. I am still stunned that Brown won.
With the shape of our economy it all really doesn't matter, things are going to get very ugly soon.
CNEBUCKS 1 year ago
@CNEBUCKS you understand that Obama was a constitutional lawyer and knows more about the constitutional then you will ever know. Also the way they are going to pass the bills has been used by the GOP more then the Dems and has also been used to reform health care in the past... what do you think the R in COBRA is for? Also S-CHIP was passed the same way. And Brown won more do to the fact that the Dem ran a bad race. So next time you come to my page and say something see that your facts are right
thetruthaboutstuff 1 year ago
Means jack, he's a radical and could care less about the constitution, the GOP has never used it to pass anything nearly this big and every single time there has been bipartisan support. They know the American people do not want this, if this bill was so great the libs (that have had the majority) could have passed this long ago. This bill is not for the people, the libs was to pass this monstrosity for power (plain and simple)>.
CNEBUCKS 1 year ago
@CNEBUCKS also if you look at the raw numbers the economy is on its way back and by the summer or at latest you will see the turnabout in full swing. This is not me just saying this but people who really look at the numbers saying this and they dont work for Obama. Also the health care bill will help the nation by giving tax brakes for small biz and most of the taxes on the right will not kick in for over a year and we will be really back on track then. but facts dont mean anything right?
thetruthaboutstuff 1 year ago
LMAO, Barry has run up the largest deficit in the shortest time of any President in history. Millions out of work, 100 trillion in debt. If you think this bill will save money and help people then pal you've been pounding to many Twinkies. You need a shave, a tooth brush and also need to drop a few tons.
FAT FUCKING LIBERALS LIKE YOU ARE THE CANCER OF THIS COUNTY, FUCK YOU AND YOUR ENTITLEMENTS!!!
CNEBUCKS 1 year ago
@CNEBUCKS first off lets see, your wrong, most of that 100 trillion was there before Obama walked in the door. but see that called a fact and I dont think you would know one if you see it. Also the stuff Obama did to help save the nation from going to hell in a hand basket after the bush years lets wall st and the banks go wild did cost but also put us on the road back from something that would have almost killed us. Please next time get your facts right become you come at me.
thetruthaboutstuff 1 year ago
Fact: Reagan more than TRIPPLED the National Debt raising it 189% over 8 years!
Fact: Bush took a budget surplus and turned it into $1.2 trillion deficit by the end of his term! Not to mention he DOUBLED The National debt!
Obama inherited a $1.2 trillion deficit that now stands a $1.3 trillion due to the stimulus and he inherited an 8 trillion dollar national debt that now sits at 9 trillion again because of the stimulus projections. He increased the debt 12.5% this pails in comparison.
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby
Where the fuck are you getting your figures? You cant use ebonic math, not on my watch mother fucker. How could he have only increased the debt by 100 billion like you say he did? Hell boy, his bullshit stimulus costs 800billion. Go back to school, or pick up a book, or an abacus, or something.
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal where the fuck did you go to school, jackass? First of all, the $787 Billion dollar price tag is a figure of projection over TIME added to the Debt if revenues were to remain as is. FYI the same formula was applied to the Iraq War funding which was 1.8 Trillion added tothe debt! Where was the tea party then?
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby
This crisis goes all the way back to FDR and the creation of Fannie Mae
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal Wrong genius show me an article where the CBO projected the Stimulus at 1.3 Trillion! The number is a projection of the debt owed over TIME!. The Iraq war did not cost 1.8 Trillion in 2003. This cost is calculated over TIME! Continue.......
mef75baby 1 year ago
@jjrglobal The budget deficit for 2009 was 1.2 Trillion and this year it is 1.3 Trillion. If you don't believe me check with the Congressional Budget Office. The National Debt which is what the 787 Billion is applied to is 9 Trillion, and last year it was 8 Trillion.
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby
We place the blame where it belongs, It starts with the Fed Reserve's manipulation of interest rates, then to Fannie Freddie, CRA of 1977 pushed hard by Clinton, Bush
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal Oh and FDR policies caused this crash 65 years after he left office? Get the fuck outta here lol!!!!!The blame is on Reagan and Clinton DEREGULATION! You ever heard the saying ":When the kitty is away the mouse shall play"? I digg it that you are a conservative but REPUBLICANS are conservative in rhetoric only. You're Conservative? GO LIBERTARIAN!
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby When Clinton and Bush pushed the CRA and put a quota on banks to make a certain amount of loans to minorities, the only way they could comply is by lowering lending standards. With the standards lowered the banks pushed the lower quality loans onto Fannie n Freddie. Wallstreet could not have behaved like this without the GSE's and moral hazard policies and agencies that had been created over the last 100 years. Wallstreet is not to blame, they did what gov mandated they do
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal That contributed but you had a number of middle-class folks with good credit who became victims!Mortgage companies were telling everyone to refinance. They took advantage of seniors especially! It was greed brought on by deregulation in the late 90's early 00's that really made the market bubble and burst!
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby
Rothbard won a nobel prize for work on this subject. check it out
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal I didn't like Bush buying banks either but consider the alternative. We would have a World Market Failure where 90% of capital is FROZEN! You would have whole governments going under and probably a 70% unemployment rate here in the U.S. This was a no brainer!
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby
Well there you go, something we agree on.
I think the government screwed the system up so bad that Bush really had no choice. Obama did though, the stimulus has really hurt our economy. Short term it helped but very short term. Surely you dont believe in the "jobless recovery"?
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@mef75baby
You said this earlier "Bush added to the debt because it was the cool thing to do", so I assumed you were against the bank bailout. I didnt like it but I felt it was necessary given the fragile state. As far as the stimulus, it was my understanding that they borrowed that money, spent all but 225 billion, which is in slush fund that they are proposing to use on this newest mortgage bailout
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal I didn't like the fact we had to do the bailout but I wasn't against it. I understood why it was nessasary. What I was against was the Bush Tax Cuts, Medicare Part D and The Iraq War all not paid for and just added to the debt without a peep from anyone. At least when Obama has a pet project he makes an attempt to pay for it without adding to the debt! Stimulus was the exeption!
mef75baby 1 year ago
@mef75baby
The CBO only scores what is in front of them, so their analysis is worthless
jjrglobal 1 year ago
jjrglobal's an imbecile. No, I guess not.
medartist01 1 year ago
jjrglobal still doesn't know that TAX CUTS DO NOT GENERATE MORE REVENUE for the federal government. Period.
medartist01 1 year ago
@medartist01
Another fact, you're an idiot that knows nothing about economics
jjrglobal 1 year ago
@jjrglobal the best way I can explain the debt so you understand is like this...If you finance a home for $200,000 you don't actually pay the $200,000 up front. You have a mortgage payment of say $1000 a month. Think of the budget deficit as our yearly mortgage and the national debt as the full life of the $200,000 loan.
mef75baby 1 year ago
mef75baby is right on target. GOP = domestic terrorists.
medartist01 1 year ago
@jjrglobal my second point is that the only time Obama added to the debt was when he was advised by conservative and progressive economist that he had to because of the economic crisis. Bush added to the debt because it was the cool thing to do! I respect fiscal conservatives but you should consider LIBERTARIAN!
mef75baby 1 year ago
@thetruthaboutstuff

RyuDarragh 1 year ago
I'm guess you don't like the Republicans. I'm not from America, but I still disliked the Republicans, even though they cannot directly affect my life.
