Citizen is right, these are a built up R700 . Not very affordable though . The stocks alone are almost 1k . Also theirs a slight difference in .308 and 7.62 x .51 . 7.62 has thicker Sidewalls for semi-autos. Guns like the Cetme and hk ptr has a violent extraction that will tear .308 brass apart under stress.

The m40-a3 is a breech loading rifle, to my knowledge. But the m40-a5 has a 5 or 10 round detachable magazine, for easier reloads. I also dig the bolt action, because it forces you to make each shot count. And from what ive heard, the stock is virtually indestructible. The round is a 7.62x51mm round, but im pretty sure you can fire a .308 from it. The barrel has a 1:12 twist, but for the next model, there are rumors of a change to a 1:10 twist.

@ShpoonGaming That is totally dependent on the range. For instance at DFW Gun Range in Garland Tx, you can "rent" a handgun and shoot it. At most you do not need to OWN the weapon but you must have one if you want to shoot one. I think some places my check serial numbers to make sure its not listed as stolen. Also most ranges have other rules. For instance, one trigger pull per second(No rapid firing) and rifle ammunition must be soft tip. It depends on the range, so call ahead to make sure.
