  • riding freeways all the time u will not worry about the gas price but buyin tires instead ;p

  • The Honda CBR250R is fully capable, comfortable and gets better fuel economy than a 600cc bike. With mine fully loaded with saddle bags and tail bag loaded up I get 70mpg. A modern 250cc bike is just as good of a commuter.

  • How Much Monney Do You Spend For Gas? How Often do you fill up?? How Much $ does your bike fill up on???

  • 600 first bike = SQUID

  • this highway..like in a transformers film..

  • Go to 4:22 for the panic stop

  • always look for that hole or gap to get through better that than lock it up and end up on youre ass stay safe brother

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggrrhhhhh. It's "braking". engine breaking is when you break the engine. Braking is when you slow down.

  • @IAMOldNick Engine breaking is when you down shift and close the throttle completely, letting the compression of the engine slow the bike down.

  • i HATE stopping like that lol

  • honestly where the hell do you ride to in every video

  • @2354bill6 you should use engine breaking... motorcycles are made to do it... Watch any onboard cam of a REAL rider on a track and listen to the engine... engine breaking

  • @jsadiqsadiq You mean blipping?

  • @aarzz engine braking and blipping are different things

  • You should never use your gears to slow down on a bike.. use your breaks

  • @2354bill6 why? you could brake faster with engine breaking..combined with you're breaks offcourse!

  • Nice blood stain at 1:09

  • my first is a r1...and still got it..its all about how u control yourself to keep from getting outside your abilities..

  • fishtailing?

  • thats a 750 srad suzuki

  • HighSiding

  • i'll buy a scooter..

  • you have prob answered this alot but i am a new viewer of yours and i was wondering what kind of bike you have?

  • @ZiiGxZaG It's an SV1000 but he also has ridden a Gixxer and a Ninja in other videos

  • My first bike was a 650, and I'm very glad I didnt start on a 250, I would have outgrown that in a week.

  • And you laugh when your about to die? Why? thank god you didnt wreck and get hurt or even die im not calling you a bad driver but im surprised you didint die yet jesus is watching over you.

  • Hey im 19 and live in the UK, i think by law i'm allowed a 600 but restricted to 33bhp (which im fine with) my journey to work is about 6 miles and 95% is dual carriage way (freeway)? would you say a 600 is perfect for that? thanks.

  • @MlSTERxRED I wouldn't suggest it is worth it buying a 600 and restricting it to 33bhp as it might not work properly. get a 250 that are on the limit of 33bhp or lower and use that, will do fine till you got enough experience to get a 600. And for a plus, the insurance would be a killer on a 600!

  • @MlSTERxRED Im 20 and have to deal with the same laws. I have a zxr400, iv derestricted it now (shhh) but i initially had it restricted to get the certificate. It barely moved with 33bhp and wouldn't rev past 9500 (should rev to 14k). Point being, if a 400 barely moved when restricted a 600 will only be worse.

  • @shockofgod I'm pretty sure a "klick" is a kilometer.

  • shorts offer the same protection as jeans when you crash, found out all by myself

  • 1:09 Is that what's left what some other biker on the ground?

  • The guy riding in shorts is stupid!!

  • @MrBobnokious trust me if you fall with jeans on its no different from wearing shorts. jeans rip apart so fast. You should watch who your calling stupid, because your comment only makes you sound stupid!

  • @nola504boy1 You're not your... just saying

  • @nola504boy1 not really bro i lowsided at 80 and my pants only had a small rip where my leg got caught under my bike. still rather have leather though lol

  • Why are you driving in the car pool lane?

  • @SoScotter because all of us are watching

  • lol...y didnt u go down the left shoulder past the cones?...lol

  • the guy at the start is an idiot riding in shorts looks cool until you loose a leg

  • I'm a motorcycle enthusiast too, but not sure I agree with the saving money on gas part. You're only going to get 10,000 miles out of a tire, and when you take chains, sprokets, and running premium into account, I think the saving are a wash.

  • @jeff2235 ninja 250r ?

  • 66666 views... o my good i die in 6 days...

  • this is why you dont ride the interstate.

  • 70% front, 30% rear.

  • this is why you use the front brake. only.

  • @psiloshroom lol, i love mushing the front brake at highway speed

  • 4:26 for the stop

  • @KawasakiKid05 Thanks

  • The 60 freeway is a pain in the butt

  • @123kchau yea u need to go faster

  • hey man. i' ve been riding for a few years and i think you probably are a little more expierienced than me. so my question is...why did you choose the path between the cars instead of going onto the shoulder? it did it just happen that way?

  • I love your videos!

  • why do people dislike this guys videos, i see nothing wrong with them they are actually entertaining.

  • you shouldve been able to stop in time before those cars

  • @ryansatmcc

He explains why he goes between the cars... it was to not get hit from behind.

  • 4:25 to see the "panic stop".

  • BIGGER TYRES !!!!!!! hehe loved it XD

p.s i rode a ybr125 05 to start and i could be my mates 250 ninja around corners ( he cant ride fast )

  • @TheBmbb69 Wow someone who doesn't drive an idiot on a bike like they own the road thanks!

  • id love one but you have to hold ur open license for a few years to be able to get ur bike learners sucks so much because im a bike fan and would rather own a bike than a car. i don't know how it is in the US but in Australia you have a long wait.

  • god told me not to watch this video

  • @ryandonian uhmmm i dont know if you know but car pool lanes can have busses...cars with more thn 2 people, and motorcycles. dur

  • *sees road*

    "CAR"

    "POOL"

    "ONLY"

    *is on a motorcycle...*

  • @ryandonian The lanes may have been closed. Ours are open to everyone at specific times of the day. Most likely when everyone isn't in transit to or from work.

  • my suzuki gs500f is perfectly happy running 70-75 mph... definitely a good choice for a beginner bike... costs me less than $200/year to insure. enough power for hills and freeway, but not as easy to get into trouble with.

Nice save on that panic stop.

  • @jmurockstar same thing i got and man i love it great on insurance and gas but the only thing that i dont like is it just dosent have enough power

  • nice save. following distance following distance following distance. For cars and especially motorcycling. if it wouldn't have been for your good following distance you'd have been in trouble.

  • I been riding for a year now! I am glad I did not get a 250 !! im riding a kawasaki 636 when you talked about properly putting the kickstand down I busted out laughing cause it happened to me already lol

  • Ok... i have a question. Im only thirteen and im looking for bike leasons. Im going to try to get a hayabusa and i want it to be in the 1,000 cc's area. When did you get your bike?

  • @Hajiile24 get a dirtbike for starters. the grass/dirt is UR FRIEND compared to concrete. itll teach you about hand foot coordination real good, how to handle spills and corners. And when ur 16/17 and get a DL go take a MSF Course, get your Badass DL back (itll say Class: CM) get a 600, (or an SV650s perfect midlevel streetbike) run it for about a year RIDE EVERY DAY. THEN get ur Busa on!! (busa's are 1300 cc's already)

  • My 91 Runner gets like 8mpg , $200 a week

  • suzuki hayabusa rules!

  • Hell yeah did anyone see that 99 em1 to the left during the panic stop

  • bad thing about them ppl die R.I.P Michael he lived on a motorcycle he died on one

  • can i have your bike

  • Nice SV1000! I used to have one, extremely nice on the torque!

  • Best part is that you laughing at the situations.

  • CAR POOL ONLY can't you read??!! xD

  • @jakkaize Motorcycles are allowed in Car Pool Lanes.

  • It's like listening to Howard Hughes talk about bikes!! Lol.... That's amazing!!!

  • ...save money on gas but loose time on life...27 times more likely to DIE in any type of collision when compared to a car. Get a bike but just make sure you make your end painless and quick.

  • Driving with a motorcycle is way more dangerous in my opinion than driving a car. I've been in multiple situations that nearly cost my life, but was able to avoid it.

  • one more vid untill 1000 congrats

  • i knew u were gonna say drifting lol

  • man i wish i had recorded my near accident,i was downshifting braking hard and my rear even skidd alot my friends were there i was about one foot or less from the wall.btw i started with an r1,its not very good to do this but i cant resist the super sexy r1.

  • whats a panic stop?

  • Why use rear brake? its completely useless except for trail braking or changing your line midcorner

  • Your stupid! Buy a Smart car!!!!

  • 4:24 is the panic stop if you want to fast forward to it.....

  • @cbr0rider no you dont have to ride a 125 or lower in uk? u can apply for direct access when 21 and do test on a 500cc. Or if under 21 buy a big 600cc and restrict it to 33bhp for 2 years! then remove restrictor after that.

  • bit suprised at the stopping distance there, altho I remember test riding an SV and thinking the brakes (for me) didnt feel good, compared to my Honda.... just a thought

  • i was gonna get a bike then the guy that wanted to ride with him got killed an the insurance wouldve been 4500 a year nationwide? lol thats insane i have a great driving record im 37 now an i havent had atickit since 1997 an accident since 1993

  • 4:24 for panic stop

  • damn i want ninja 250r.... but im just 16 years old and i have gilera 50cc....long way to go

  • @xpl0ckx I have a Ninja 650r. Great to buy the 250r, very fun beginner bike, it's agile and all. Cheap as well. Just remember, don't jump the gun. Don't go out and buy a 650 off the bat. It's always smarter to go from the smaller ones and up. Oh, and 250r is great as well, when I had mine, I was getting around 75 mpg. Great for saving money.

  • thats actually my favorite gsxr body style and the one that came before it which would be the srad love the wide body style

  • that didn't seem like he was braking hard at all

  • im get a kawasaki ninja 650r 2009

  • 6:12 I thought the sign said "Gay Street"

  • 4:22

  • @SinnNorth thanks

  • what kind of bike do you have

  • @mdog077 Yea what he said.

  • 600 vs 1000s Granite the 1000 has 60 more hp it also cost you 2 grand more and weighs more 600s are more throttle friendly and are faster through turns but down the straight the 1000 is better because horsepower but its heavy but it will obviously cost you 2k more but 600 all the way unless your racing which you shouldnt be.

    2011 GSXR 600 $11599

    Power:124.04 HP (90.5 kW)) @ 13500 RPM

    Weight(412.3 pounds)

    2011 GSXR 1000 $13599

    Horse Power: 182.38 HP (133.1 kW)) @ 12000 RPM

    Weight: 459.1 Lbs.

  • @shockofgod Whats a better helmet and lens to use for nite/day riding?

  • @Axiom253 Shoei RF1000 with the standard clear and smoke visors are about the best you can get.

  • Just looked up Suzuki 600......126 hp 13500 rpm, this one is doing more than 100 miles an hour.......

  • Don't listen to what this guy is saying about 250's. A Ninja 250 will easily go considerably faster uphill than this guy is doing in this video. They will hit 110 mph bone stock ffs and accelerate faster than your average passenger car. Pretending that you NEED more power than that is just trying to justify a bike that is too fast for your ability as a beginner. A 600cc bike can do 70 mph in...wait for it...FIRST GEAR. Get a 250 and learn to ride - safely.

  • @kj7687

Yeah but you gotta rev the engine like a mofo to get it to 70. The sound should deter a beginner from doing that. xD Just sounds like the engine is screaming at you to stop.

  • riverside! Just got me an sv650 as my first bike, maybe see you on the road - brother.

  • On first bike selection: CCs are not as important as being comfortable on the bike AND matching performance to rider experience. please don't tell people that they should buy a GSX-R 600 because it has bigger tires than, say a Ninja 250. My first bike was an '82 GS650G. I was sure that my 2nd bike was going to be a early 90s GSX-R1100. Turns out, a GSX-R 600 was a better match for me. Now, after ~15 years of riding,my SV1KSK4 fits the bill just fine. Now I'll finish the vid to see the close call

  • i can drive on 127 kmph speed on indian bike pulser 150 dts-i new model

  • wrong, don't get a sports bike. they are nice but not on insurance.

  • @TheBmbb69 friend you are right that sport bikes are expensive on ins. if you are financing but if you buy one used and have the pink slip it's a drop in the bucket. It's dirt cheap.

  • @shockofgod yeah well i was lookign at a 250 ninja and they wanted like 6000 ins, i got a 1981 yamaha SR250 and i paided 3300 on ins =S.

  • @shockofgod

    perfect answer !

  • @shockofgod SV650 or SV1000? What year?

  • @shockofgod not really, bought a new 09 zx10r last year. i pay 40 bucks a month, soon to be even less. bout to make it a track bike

  • @TheBmbb69 shock is right. I was always a bad "driver". So I pay $250 a year on my 05 R1 liability

  • @TheBmbb69 Insurance isn't bad at all if you find the right company. I have a Cbr900RR and i pay like 200 a year for liability, probably 700 for full

  • @TheBmbb69 my ins on my 08 R6 is cheaper than my car. Full coverage on both. about 85 a month for the bike. And my bike is worth much more.

  • @TheBmbb69 actually i got progressive and my yearly quote is 350 bucks

  • @TheBmbb69

still cheaper than an economy class car if you dint have a record.

  • It's typically better to just brake hard in a panic stop than to downshift. Just my personal exp in panic stop situations, IMO you stop faster if you're not trying to downshift too, depending on your gearing keeping the clutch engaged can save your ass. On my R1 it doesn't do a whole lot b/c it sucks at trans braking, but on my GSX-750 where 1st only goes to like 35-40 - trans-brakes like a boss, can totally save your ass in panic..but kicking it down sometimes wastes precious seconds :-\.

  • @TheBmbb69 it's not that bad when you give them the right info, and they end up pricing you for a dirtbike ;).

  • @TheBmbb69 If you have full then yes, if you are like the majority of us and have liability my 2005 gsxr 1000 being 20 I pay 150 a year for insurance.

  • @TheBmbb69 lol.. in florida we dnt need insurancee :]

  • @TheBmbb69 im 20 and paid 32 bucks a month for full coverage on an 02 honda cbr

  • @WOTGTP98 As a new rider with a checkered driving record at age 20 I paid 130 a month my first 2 years on a 600 in PA. But after that it dropped to around 40 bucks a month. Now that I am 30 on the same bike its 25 a month.

  • Woah Shock. That just about put me in panic shock brother!!

    But God placed a way for you to escape. Just a coincidence. (( ;

  • My BMW R1100RT has anti lock breaks. :-)

  • Hey Shock, I tried coming to the chatroom earlier today and I saw there it is now requires a password. If it's ok could you give me more info on getting the password. Please send me a pm on here or e-mail me at cubeus19@aol.com Thanks.

  • @cubeus19 there is no pass needed to enter go to Shockawenow . n e t

  • @shockofgod Ok, thanks. Sorry about that bud.

  • Sweet!! You have concluded my reason on a streetbike, im sooo getting one, been looking at a suzuki or honda and want one extremely bad! Hahaha thanks man! That gave me the more reason to buy one :)

  • 4:23

  • loool Almost

  • I'm on a 2009 ninja 250 and I start to look for a gas station when I'm about 200 miles. :p

And I ride highways all day to work and school. My observation is that the 250's do just fine on the freeway. But to each his own and shock has some good points about the tires on the 250.

  • nice highways, i'd love to take my car out there.

  • congrats on a 1000 videos!!

Now good luck on the next 1000!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You rock

  • Glad you got stopped in time brother. Cal Trans don't seem like they have the smartest people in the world working for them. They're too busy holding up shovels most of the time.

  • @keithbu yeah they said you left atheism man that is awesome. Everybody is talking about you leaving atheism at shockawenow . n e t Now unbrainwash your atheist friends. That's your mission.

  • im thinkin of gettin the cbr 600. i have been riding dirtbikes for years so i think im ready for that

  • Thats why you shouldn't ride while looking at your buddy. It makes me cringe when i see idiotic riders on the freeway doing wheelies and shit in traffic just asking for death. I lost a really close friend of mine to stupid shit like this, and I gave up riding forever.

  • Gratz on 1000 videos

  • how many miles per gallon you get shock?

i drive a 96 vw passat diesel wagon and i get 50 mpg.

If i had to buy a bike i would get a diesel bike that gets 150 mpg now that's big savings only downfall diesel bikes are so expensive, wonder why they don't make cheap diesel bikes.

  • @theagrafiotis I can go about 150 miles before I need to look for a gas station the light comes on about the 150 mile mark.

  • @theagrafiotis I can go 150 miles before starting to look for a gas station. 36-38mpg

  • @shockofgod I get 130Mpg on my little 125cc starter bike :)

(You have to start out on a 50-125cc bike before you get a bigger one in the UK

  • I agree shock, speaking from experience. I really wasted alot of money by starting small. CBR125 then Ninja250R. I eventually ended up getting an R6. Noob or pro, just reapect the bike and know your limits any bike is safe. To God be the Glory bro.!

  • i have a zx-14 and im dying to try it on those cool freeways :(

  • @juan193 zx14? Oh man that is awesome ...respect

  • Comment removed

  • @shockofgod how fast did u drove?

Well even at 70mph you should break down within less then 1/8 mile -.- Easily

  • @keithbu Youtube's "you might like this" algorithm is a bitch. What's funny is you obviously clicked on one after you decided you didn't like his videos. what's even funnier is i read a few of your comments and you obviously have no respect for yourself. College i see? you'll eventually learn it's not worth being pissed off all the time and enjoy life. if not, have fun being the cranky old man that kids throw eggs at because he's mean.

  • Glad you were able to keep your cool during that panic stop Shock. Personally (when I remember about it) I like to practice low speed panic stops like that had us do at the MSF course (approx. 30mph). I"ll do it at the driveway at work where it's a safe controlled area.

Also, I was thinking of a different windshield, the one on the 650R is "too low" for me. Let us know how your new windshield works out for you =)

  • I've enjoyed my Suzuki SV650. I had to take it easy in the beginning but it's a bike that I haven't yet outgrown. I accidentally did a wheelie on my first ever ride home with it in first however.

  • Grats on 1,000th video!

  • Good avoidance there. Although I think you had some brakes left. And you probably should have seen the traffic slowing down sooner ;-)

The important thing is that you didn't crash.

  • @Fudmottin hey man yeah it was going up over a hill the dumb cal trans didn't even cone it off enough. Recently my pastors son died hitting the back of a cal trans truck. They are putting the public in danger they don't even cone it off properly it is madness :-) Hey I got a zero gravity windscreen today its there, fedex tracking shows it arrived, I got a touring one so I can battle the winds. Should be on tomorrow if I have time I will film it the thing is huge lol but I don't care

  • @shockofgod Yeah, my bike doesn't even have a fairing like yours. I do have a small Givi windscreen added. But anything over 80mph it might as well not be there. Taking long trips can be tiring indeed. I burned through a tank full of gas on June 2nd and was worn out afterwards. I only did about 200 miles.

I only uploaded 1:02 of video from that day :-). And I wasn't moving. I recorded some of the steam from the Limerick nuclear power plant.

  • @Fudmottin I'll go check out your video now ...yeah I weighed the shorter windscreen vs a taller ws, and I have decided even if it looks stupid with a bigger windscreen I don't care anymore lol I can't take the constant wind hitting me any longer it is getting tiring and bothersome. Check this out I went to zero gravity racing and they have a video of my old white zx10 with a zgravity racing screen lol on their site. I will do a video review on the new screen..checking out your vid now

  • @shockofgod My advantage is that I mostly ride small 2 lane rural roads. Going 80mph means becoming air born followed by tight integration with the landscape! So most of the time, I'm going slower than 65mph.

  • @Fudmottin hey I put on the windshield its pretty high lol I don't think I'll get any wind at all I plan on doing a review of it tomorrow man I'll put it as main video no channel. Should be up about 2 pm pacific time tomorrow

  • @shockofgod What kind of bike would you suggest for a 1st timer who is just wanting to ride around on city streets?

  • Shock, good thing you know the Lord cuz one of these days you may just get yourself killed! lol

  • I started with a 200cc and it was a waste of money.

  • So-cal freeways are sooo bad! Ill going to be on them later today lol. Cant wait to be back in so-cal.

  • "1:09" is that blood?

  • @Dynastiez - That's exactly what I thought! lol

  • @Dynastiez blood of a bug

  • @Dynastiez Its paint gangbangers throw paint in middle of highways in the dead of night, new type of 'tagging' I guess you can say.

  • yikes
