  • RUSH and Schwinns, the best combination!

  • A 'Ray and Rush! Double win!

  • Comment removed

  • i got 2 of these ones black and ones green

  • the gooseneck is glued together were the steel meets the aluminum its a sleeve mine just broke. cool bikes.. they rust really easy.. lol and I live in a desert. I bought 7 that day.. I paid 88 bucks out the door each.

  • finally, RUSH!!!!!!!!

  • yeah, it's nice that "Schwinn" re-released this bike, but the neck joints weren't brazed. sloppy. Don't know why they don't sell this design all of the time? There's a '70's L'il Chic on CL for $45.

  • @thejailbirdz brazing the joints & the ultra clean look was what made Schwinn Schwinn!

  • please post a vid of the oldschool 'Lil Chic!

  • Out standing dude!!!!

Keep it clean, past it on to your kids!

  • Neat, I have one of the Shwin Stingray frames an original. Just a frame, but still pretty neat.

  • Walmart was selling these in 2007? Was it a limited edition type sale? Because that is the Schwinn from the 1960s.

  • BEST WALMART BIKE EVER. NO CONTEST.

  • love the colour of your bike and it was a bargain at that price. well done you.

  • wait why am i watching this

  • Nice music, nice bike. Have fun :)

  • nice lowrider

  • sweet bike...I have the same one but black...got for $50 from CL and gave it some tlc....also own 4 other vintage muscle bikes...for the morons who say u r missing the shifter...they need to do some homework...mines a blast and they do go for $300 now...sorry to whoever missed the boat on these....throw a speedo and mirrors on it to complete the dragster look....and to the snobs/haters.....I'm sure I could be in your club (35+ vintage bikes) but you're morons...no diff in rideability

  • enjoyed the video

  • Really nice ride there, and for $59!!!!! We bought 2010 Schwinn corvettes and ride them hard down forest roads, the bikes are probably made in China but that doesn't stop us from having serious fun. Its even funnier when you kick someones ass on a cheap bike ;-) Ride on

  • Sick bike... Ride it, enjoy the looks it will get and f*** anyone from the boring elite who wants to diss it

    Peace :)

  • Just one question. Is it still True schwinn quality or is it made on China

  • @ThePsychedalex It's made in China. Poor quality and not like the Chicago made ones. The Taiwan made repop '98 and '99 Krates were good quality like the Chicago made ones but for the price of the BFK(Black Friday Krates) 2007 Walmart special you couldn't go wrong.

  • If only it was red.....and I owned it.

  • i jus got my schwinn tourist its so awesome and light. three peddles and u can go on for like a mile

  • orale man nice bike

  • nice bike

  • RUSH!

  • can't wait to see you get a real old one!

  • to querendo um acento de bicicleta igual ao da sua tem algum site que eu acho?

  • Wow, I thought it was an original classic, nice job Pacific did on the retro! That front semi-suspension is awesome! My first bike had a banana seat, very comfortable.

  • i was walkin up to my walmart...i found a black one on sale and clearence for 30 dollars! i didnt even think about it and bought it....they are cool little bikes mines hanging in my basment.....everybody asks is that a original...a very good repro

  • I wiah I woulda bought one of these. lucky devel

  • This bike is really nice. And you got it for a great price. Lucky!!!

  • Its a cool bike!

  • Heavy with narrow bars make for hard handling. I used to blow the kids away in the late 60s on my SEARS Sting Ray bike. Much lighter and with wide motocross style handle bars.

The Krate bikes are Cool to Cruise on though.

  • i got a one of these thats all chrome and a bit diffrent frame from walmart

  • watch?v=0BIsGZ4f7zo new s25 schwinn vid very nice. check it out.

  • Don't like the bike but I love Rush.

  • I had one of these bikes back in the 80"s i got from a yard sale. Mine was chopper style with smaller wheel in front and drum brakes, 5 speed suicide shifter, & rear disc brakes, I changed out the seat because I didn't like the banana type. Cool vid brought back old memories.

  • rush.. nice...

this video is telling the story of a bicycle.

  • Ahhh.....not exactly made in Chicago anymore, are they?

  • I'm like 6'3, would i be able to ride 1 of these? I love Stingrays, my dad had 1 as a kid.

  • I have this exact bike. I bought it for my daughter and it has only sat on a hook in the garage for the last 3 and a half years. She rode it around the block once or twice so it's like new. She already has an original Sting Ray Mini that she treasures. I'm selling this if there's any takers!

  • Pretty good for a Walmart bike.

  • My nephew has one of these. He likes it.

  • How much does it weigh? No need to be exact, just to the nearest 100lbs.

  • @EssieP like 30ibs

  • I had no idea they brought that bike back. I gotta find one.

  • Suhweet! I recently bought a new 26" Schwinn Cruiser. Not exactly like the real vintage bikes, but it looks pretty close, and I'm in the process of decking it out and upgrading it. If you love the bike.. enjoy it, and don't listen to all the haters homie!

  • i ride bmx but that bike looks freakin sweet hahaha

  • Cheapest springer front I can find now is $50 all by it's self. WalMart sold the Jesse James chopper bike for $60, or was it the OCC bike...I can never remember :P

  • nice bike:) could have done without Rush playing though x) ha not a big fan of Rush

  • some of these bikes back in the day came with a front drum brake and five speeds with a stick shift. Kool bike man don't leave it outside or that chrome is gonna get ugly. Dude put a single seat on it and move the ape hangers forward a bit, and yeah remove the safety stickers. just spray them with some wd 40 wait a few minutes. they should come right off.

  • some of these bikes back in the day came with a front drum brake and five speeds with a stick shift. Kool bike man don't leave it outside or that chrome is gonna get ugly.

  • Put a BMP kit and a 2stroke motor on it!

  • Take the safety stickers off. :-)

  • I saw these at walmart for 70 dollars a few years ago, now they go for 300 dollars on ebay, makes me wish I would have bought one, I have a 1969 stingray, anyway nice bike and great choice of music, rush has has the greatest drummer of all time.

  • did you really get this from wal-mart

  • good choice of music.

  • Nice ride !!! Good to see the younger crowd getting into these type bikes ! The original vintage ones are WAY out of the price range for most and the snobs of bicycling should remember they were a beginner once upon a time as well.

  • i love schwinn cruisers they are sweet wish i had an origanal not a remake but still at least its made by schwinn

  • @lunarpking I want my friend's '42 Schwinn, I'm not sure If it's he exact year or not, but It's AWESOME

  • cool bike i love that retro look...ride on.

  • gay

  • 99% of Everything you own is made in China so using made in china as an insult to any product id fucking dumb.

  • Its that kind of fork called Girder?

  • Comment removed

  • Ill give you a hundred dollars for the slick

  • i want one of these repo schwinns so i can ride it n not worry bout fuckin up a vintage one

  • very cool bike, My cousin and brother had one. 35 years ago. My cousin had the big stick shift on the top bar. 3 speed. Enjoy it and save it for your grand kids. very cool.

  • nice bike but its missing the center shifter

  • have you seen what these are worth now invaledcode? i wish i had one of these "cheap Chinese junk" bikes

  • good, NOW SLAM THE SHIT OUT OF IT :D

  • Cool ass bike kid! We use to hunt for those parts back in the days, and customize them. I want to get my son one. Don't listen to haters kid.

  • Great vid and very fitting music, Rush circa 1982?, just remember it being on the "Best of Rush" 1989 during my basic training and knowing it was much older. Thanks you for not using that same song on MANY youtube videos that's uncomfortably too f'n loud!!! All you tubers take note of his originality. Peace bith with you and keep the sunny side up on your new scweeeeettt ride.

  • that bike is very similar to the one i used to have when i was a kid. what a blast!

  • Nice bike.

  • I have a Schwinn 98 moab and it,s not junk it liter then gay bmx bike a the tha skate park its 19 ponds and it,s a good MTB so fuck off Schwinn haters

  • @fencingderek learn to spell

  • @garrittpwl IL learn to spell win you shut the fuck up

  • That's a nice bike. The more vintage they look, the more money they cost.

  • nice bike... you should put a motor on it ;)

  • YOU SHOULD FIX IT UP BY BUYIN PARTS OFF OF THE INTERNET. dont listen to these fagget haters.

  • wow that looks gay

  • thats NOT a real stingray.... the REAL ones has a "slap-stik" shifter and a front drum brake!

  • @Scootertuner1000 aww!! a daddy joke!! thats so cute your so mad!! :D i just wanna give you a big hug!!

  • @Scootertuner1000 aww!!! your mad! that's cute! :D

  • That is one nice looking bike, hope you treasure it. I did not get my own bike untill I was 37. I don't have time to ride it. Now I'M 54 and the bike has 28 miles on it. It is garaged so it still looks like new even though I bought it in 1992.

  • At wal mart, when they get a shipment of bicycles they're usually assembled by inexperienced 15/16 year olds. 20 bikes can be assembled in half an hour there.

  • racist

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy Branches as in distributing, or manufacturing? It doesn't really matter where its made, its just that schwinn now uses a lot of cheap ass parts. And I wouldn't say the finest bikes in the world. Every type of biking, rather road to bmx their are company's much better then them. Such as specialized, giant, s&m, and we the people. They may of been there in the beginning, but their not there now.

  • Why are all you assholes hating on him? Dude got a bike and he's stoked. This could be his gateway bike in to classics and rat bikes and old board bikes. For all you know he will own the next shop you need to pick up parts from.

The "classic" community is so small. Why are you trying to keep it that way? Pricks.

  • @McKJudo The bigger stuff gets the worse it gets. FACT.

  • @McKJudo right on brother im tryin to find me one its gettin kinda hard but of well im for everything you just said

  • @McKJudo i whole heatedly agree w/ you. and to tell the truth, these new retros run just the same as the old ones.

  • @McKJudo There will always be people who validate their existence by bad-mouthing others. Chances are most, or at least some of the people trashing him secretely wish they could have his bike. As for your second question, it's probably the typical elitist "If you're not already one of us we don't want you in our group" bullcrap. Same as you see in schools (jocks, cheerleaders, etc.).

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy used to be. up to 1980. get the facts straight.

  • rides like a dream.....

  • cool song, cool bike

  • Hell yeah dude! You need to take that thing for some jumping! Sky High Jumping! Trust me, it can handle it! It's got the special sting front spring shock! Trade mark!

  • FAG! you should not be proud of your once good but now sell out homo bicycle. you are a cork soaker (SNL reference) and you have confirmed it by the cork soaking song by the cork soaking band that you have chosen for your ridiculously gay video

  • @jtscheffer , Rush destroys you.

  • @ChrisBohne agreed

  • i had a black and chrome one

  • This is the greatest video of all time.

  • lol never seen them before lol

  • i have a bike just like that green but i wish i got black tho kinda i like green a little more its not as nice as the 1967 schwinn stingray

  • I love that bike. I will still ride that bike, just for fun. Cool video! Keep it coming.

  • you've only seen one of them in ur life because that bike was made in the 1960's

by the way u should look one of those up on ebay I've seen them go for as much as $1000

  • wow cant believe banana seat bikes making a comeback....ha wtg....cool back fender and everything

  • cool vid dude..you need to remove the warning sticker to really be old school

  • i have the black one

  • love the slick rear tire !!!! i remember this bike was bad ass....... with a balloon in the spokes.....hell yeah !!!!

  • imtator

  • I have a blue Micargi one! I hate blue but for some reason I wouldn't want any other color for this bike. These Are Very slow and need shocks for the seat. I've been riding it to work! lol!

  • i got black one

  • Would be nice if it had the shifter like the old ones

  • That front shock is pretty sweet. I am thinking about putting one on my retainer rig. What kind of town is that where you don't have an opposite side to the street?

  • looks good but it is cheap chinese junk. do you think wal-mart actually cares about quality!it is only worth $69.

  • I had one almost just like it that my dad bought for me in the 1960's but back then they were made in the U.S.A.

  • @johnbevington ur a damn liar

  • wow, this is kind of a sad, why do you think I'm Lying? Why would I even want to lie, its not like I said I went to the moon, or something.

  • How dare you.. You have your nerve

  • All I can think is you must know some brother of mine that is not correct in his memory or your just playing some game here. So I wont have another go around with you other than to ask you why you said;

"how dare you.. You have your nerve." What is that all about?

I did have a Schwann Stingray for years until I got my 3 speed. Sure there was some difference but I did not say it was exactly the same.

  • i gotta go to walmart now.lmao

  • walmart finaly has somtin good

  • dude ill buy that off you same price u bought it, maybe double. im not joking

  • how long are the forks in the front

  • far out man !!!!!

  • Freakbike Militia you say??

This is TIII if the WPB Chapter.

Ship the Schwinn to me and Ill turn it into a $159 bike! Sawzall, a wire feed welder, two pieces from the chain fence, a 12 pack and an afternoon! CHOP CHOP CHOP

    DROP DROP DROP

  • man how do u get it so cheap i want one so bad and if anything i wan tit 4 50 bucks man were els can i get it

  • wall mart had a stingray?

  • hey dude check this channel out.. crazyfisherman66, hes got all theses schwinn bike things

  • i have that bike only in BLACK

  • it looks like a banana bike from the 70-80s

  • It is only a Stingray in looks. The bike is, well, basically junk. The bearings are horrid in the wheels and crank. They don't even look like a Schwinn to anyone other than those who do not really know them. Everything about them is off compared to an actual Schwinn Stingray. I got excited when I seen one at Walmart, but after about 30 seconds of close looking, I realized it was a joke of a bike. No offense.

  • thats cool

  • Dude, these bikes were selling for as low as $69 at Walmart. You can't expect for Schwinn to build them like they did in the 60's and be able to keep the price point so low. Besides, by today's standards, the snobs would consider the components on the original bikes to be junk too. Steel one piece crank, steel caliper brakes, hi ten steel frame, steel seat post, and so on. This kid is having fun on his new Stingray, let's leave it at that.

  • smalll wheels :P

  • cheap Chinese junk.

  • @invaledcode Idiot! American companys are asking Chinese to build things cheap just like they did with Japan in the early years. Take a look at all your TVs, computers, cell phones, etc. mostly everything around you even good quality stuff is made in China so pull your heads out of your ass's and deal with it.

  • @invaledcode Go suck a goat cock.... Ass Wipe!!!!!!

  • @5scaleracer He does have a point though. Schwinn stopped making their own bikes and outsourced all their production to Taiwan in the early 80's and the quality plummeted. Anything before that was generally the shit but new Schwinns (unless they're high end) are cheap chinese junk. I have and '06 Wal-Mart Stingray and a '75 runabout and there's no comparison. It cost me less than $60 out the door.

  • @invaledcode extremely rare chinese junk

  • @adb140275 how is that rare?

  • i got that bike but its purple

  • I HAV DAT BIKE BUT ITS ALL CHROMED

  • Take heart, You got one of the last "real" Schwins. Unfortunately Schwinn sold out to China and now all the bikes are juank and only the name not the quality remains! Bummer. but enjoyed the snot out of these in my youth!

  • they sold out to pacific cycle in the early 90s. The old sting rays can't hold a candle to the repopped ones, albeit they are still cool, and cheaper. Too bad they weren't able to make a 5 speed version (new version). They don't make anything like they used to.

  • i made a video ona bike i got at canadian tire, it was 399.99

i dunno if it was worth it sicne its a department store bike, but usualy the more u payt he better the qualtiy

its a ccm torrent 21 speed.

can yeah tell me if it good to keep? cause i will return it if its gonan be problems in the future

  • aren't these the muscle bikes? They look kinda cool, but I prefer the adult schwinn bikes like the tiger or the phantom!

    Cheers!

  • Noooo, way differnt bikes. You have a nice replicated Schwinn. The 07 Walmkart BF Stingrays are crap bikes. No offense to this guy here, but they are not even CLOSE to the quaility of the 99 repo's or the originals.

  • no offense but the new schwinn are gay. the oldschool wit the clean welding n stick shift gears were the shit, i use to have a red one wit white wall westwind tires n a rear slik tire,., even the krates were sic

  • la bike low rider no esta modificada verdad

  • mines black cool

    but im selling it

how much do think i should sell it for

    brand new

  • i got da same 1 n black

  • I had one when they first hit the market, I think 1964. copper color.

the "Delux" came out soon after with the chrome fenders, sissy bar and, tuck & roll seat.

the first issues had no fenders, a plain white banana seat

  • very nice bike, i'm looking for a 60's verssion of one of these that i can restore :D

  • NICE VIDEO!!

    -hero

  • the 1966 schwinn stingray fastback is what i have, i have to say, i think its a lot better than the 07

  • I think my red fastback was a '68 model Key word "was" -- wish I had it - went to ten spd bikes...

I do have an old cruiser frame that needs redone -- I'll put the parts from my "Target" 7-spd Schwinn Cruiser that I've been replacing, on the old frame when it's done. The new one is a fast/fun commuter w/a rack at 33lbs. Continental SportTrac 1.6" tires 80psi are fast as hell and still have a give to them. Ha ha, Schwinn calls it the Jaguar - it is now the way I have it.

    Thanks for the video!!!

  • very cool bike! I just picked up a schwinn 26 inch mens traverse bike pretty cool 21 speed bike! Its sitting at toys r' us right now being assembled :0!!!!
