i dont understand all the hate. i think the interview was fine. and it was funny. its nice to see daniel craig laughing instead of being straight faced 24/7. maybe ease up on the handshake next time hahahaha
I recently saw the original Swedish version of this movie, and I have to say, that although Noomi Repace did do a really good job as Lisbeth, I'd have to say that in terms of looking like you don't give a flying ass-fuck about anything, Rooney wins. She wigs me out to be perfectly blunt.
"Sometimes he pleasures her... Not often enough. In my opinion."
The way she ever so slightly moves her mouth afterward (creepy)
I know she's a good person at heart, but she's honestly really scary.
The fact that she has no eyebrows in the film bothers me to no end. I wish this guy had asked her why that was, because it's irritating me so much ahaha. I don't really see how it adds to the goth look, I mean I'm pretty goth, and the no eyebrow thing = not cool. Not only that but in the swedish version Lisbeth was absolutely gorgeous, and she had eyebrows :T
@RabidCubes Look carefully... you'll see that she does have eyebrows but they have been bleached. According to the book, she was a natural redhead who dyed her hair jet black, so she wouldn't have black eyebrows.
Salinger does in fact have some kind of legal arrangement that will keep all of his work from becoming any kind of film, but it will eventually become public property (sometime towards the end of this century).
The interviewer did great he ask many different questions that nobody would normally ask. People please stop hating nobody wants to hear the same type of questions like "how did you prepare for this role? blah blah blah.........
Rooney has such raw potential and talent (not to mention beauty) I saw this movie and it was a great take on the book compared to most book to movie transformations, Craig and her were so well casted and I really hope that they make the next two and turn out to be good, this movie did not get as much love as it really should had!
@TjSaxbyIsFukcingHawt I hope I can improve your day by saying that it is confirmed that the two sequels will be made. Rooney Mara reprises her role for both and im not sure about Dan Craig.
I'v read the book and seen the swedish movie and I had to say iz's a better adaptation. And Rooney? She did well also. Very talented youg actress. I hardly could imagine another actress who can play Lisbeth Salander after Noomi Rapace...But Rooney did well. I don't say she's better but she's almost as good as Noomi. And she didn't copied the original. Big respect to the actors AND also to David Fincher who understood the essence of the book. I hope they'll do the other two books as well.
This really is a good interview and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the guy's questions. I think Daniel Craig did an amazing job with Mikael Blomkvist. What he did with his eyeglasses on his ear was superb! He made this little habit what makes his character so real for me...as the guy sad in the interview "when I see you on screen I don't see Daniel Craig. I see the character you're playing" That's totally true. He's Mikael is more like I imagined from the book then Michael Nyqvists.
The interviewer is a little bit intense and overbearing, but his actual questions are quite thoughtful and interesting, and he gives Craig time to fully articulate his answers. Unlike Chuck the Movie Guy, who is infinitely more egotistical.
I liked the interview and didn't think there was any hate from Daniel Craig. I thought his blunt answer to your piercing question was funny as hell. I bet he'd be great in a comedy... the delivery was great.
Dude, I think you are one of the best interviewers around. The celebrities seem to enjoy themselves and you ask fairly sensible questions. But, you put too much footage into the video. You should try to just have the interview and not so much clips.
What's with the hate toward the interviewer? I thought he did well - he asked unique, relevant questions which I personally haven't heard others asking. As I was walking out of the theater, I was thinking about how non-James-Bond-like Craig was, so I was pleased to hear someone ask him about that. Considering that he only had 4 minutes, I thought it was good. It's hard to get deep into the dark themes of the movie in 4 min, so it was nice to hear questions any given viewer might want answered.
@daffodil977 thanks! the question at the start of the interview with the piercings was actually one of my last questions and it was meant to be a joke - the BOND question was the one I wanted to start it out with and in retrospect, I wish I edited the joking question at the end - That's not normally a type of question I ask - my questions usually are like the BOND question. I just hope people stay after the first joking question to finish the rest of the interview. thanks for your kind feedback
@bdkreviewsdotcom You're most welcome. And the interview was great - these commenting idiots (myself included, actually) would all be stammering and gushing like crazy people if they were put in a room with freaking Daniel Craig, so don't listen to a word of their stupidity :)
@bdkreviewsdotcom well done with the interview sir. with stars like these, i imagine they hear the same things over and over, im sure that they enjoyed meeting/speaking with you. for the few that are giving you negative feedback, there are tons of us enjoying your candor with the actors.
the people decrying the interviewer's questions i.e. criticizing the daniel craig question regarding James Bond, must be kinda stupid. He manages to ask a famous actor about his most famous role and link it to the role he has most recently done whilst simultaneously asking craig for his own interpretation of the two characters in a somewhat similar scene involving a gunshot. I think that's a pretty good question to ask when you're given like 4-5 minutes to interview: Most famous and most recent.
@SirSmilingPhantom thanks so much for your nice compliment - I always try to tie the new film to a past film. I did that with Spielberg as well. I've gotten a lot of hate for my "Dragon Tattoo" interviews so I really appreciate it :). Happy New Year!
@bdkreviewsdotcom no problem :) ye i just thought all the hate was totally uncalled for, but that's the internet i suppose. And happy, belated, new year to you too :)
@bdkreviewsdotcom Don't worry! You did great. I think it's refreshing to an actor to have a conversation with somebody who's actually interested in the topic!
@SirSmilingPhantom Oh come on, it's a popcorn question. Amusing, but it's really not the deep analyitical study you seem to think it is. Listen to Craig's answer - it's hardly deep.
The interviewer is like an excited little puppy. I guess it's more refreshing than an interviewer who has obviously no interest whatsoever and have the questions prepared for him.
You're such a lucky person mate. I mean, you've got to meet Christopher Plummer who is one of my favourite actors of all time. What a voice that man has!
