Whether weed is or isn't a drug, is a question of semantics, not science or philosophy. Are drugs bad? that's a more valid question, but then, we must ask; What makes "bad" bad? @krazietj when you smoke pure crystal after extracting it from the plant matter, it is MASSIVELY more potent, and not as harsh due to the complete lack of attached plant matter. also, you ight be working with shwag, which has a MUCH lower keef content, and the quality is not the same.

keef is the crystal that forms on and in the bud to attract the male pollen from the plants. it is also THC crystal. you freeze/grind it/shake it, all in turn to condense the keef, and shatter the plant matter surrounding it, breaking free the desired "keef" or crystal. just grinding your weed in a coffee grinder is NOT keef. it is broken up weed.

this process is basically how to trick the weed into giving you more crystal thru freezing and expanding the crystal, then shattering it out with the grinder... you wind up worth WAY more keef in the very bottom of YOUR TRIPLE CHAMBER GRINDER... if you don't have a triple chamber grinder, then yes, i can see why you think you'd only get ground up weed...
