The actors would have some idea of what they might say so they look witty, and the network would give Craig some basic questions to ask Evangeline. From there on, it is all impromptu.

The robot made a comment that would be a general reply to one of Craig's questions (if it was pre-scripted, it would have had a better response than "sexy time, wow".).

I wish Evangeline would publish it - I'm writing it as a writer who has 3 kids. From the short glimpse of what she said, it sound exactly what children book should be - rhymes, funny words, and exciting plot :)

In the UK I heard that the average amount of advertisment time is about 4 minutes per 30 minutes, while in the US it ranges from 6min-10minutes (8-10 minutes being fox usually). Also in the US/Canada life things are done a lot faster than in Europe, Asia and especially islands. E.g. fast food, drivethrus, speed dating, etc.

The main difference I think you'll notice, is that in Europe with TV shows there is a lot more emphasis on culture, history, plot and character development. In the US and Canada its a lot more focused on only big significant events or big scenes/explosions. A good example of brinign the two together is James Bond. The explosion/battle/chase scenes that bring the American TV culture and the storeline, or history of the the character through diff movies from the British TV scene.

But there are other shows with longer interviews, like Oprah, and programs that are on a bit earlier in the evening :)
