  • Hi ASH - Looks like a really good game - Excellent video buddy :)

  • @ashleyescort Thanks mate. It is a good game for it's age :)

  • Thanks for the nostalgia trip! I remember this game being on demo in our local computer shop, in Exeter. The owner was a nice chap, and let us annoying kids loiter in the store, and sample the Amiga games. We were 12 or 13, and were nowhere near affording an Amiga; and Hybris was one of the demo games we played, and drooled over, on a wet Saturday afternoon.

it's aged well - almost as well as Helen Mirren.

  • @surfacelizard Ah Helen Mirren, she has aged well mate. Glad you liked the nostalgia trip :)

  • Looks good for its time, although the GFX seem to lack variety. Reminds me of Battle Squadron....

  • @retronostalgic Although Battle Squadron isn't a sequel, there is a sort of relationship between the games.

  • Still holds the test of time...great game - love the music. Cool gameplay mate :)

  • @1msx2go Thanks mate. It really does stand the test of time.

  • Great music on the title screen, I missed this one back then

  • @sc00t3r74 Yeah it had typical 80's amiga music which often was good.

  • I am just about to upload some gameplay of Battle Squadron so it was really ironic that the first video of yours i clicked on was the prequel to that game :)

  • @darrenwalshsock The music in this game is apsolutely blinding,im going to see if i can find the mp3 anywhere :)

  • @darrenwalshsock You can see how similar they are in some ways and there may be another in the series. Not too sure tho.

  • I 4got all about this game, i remember when this game came out, its was realy good to play, and i love the music.

    Another good vid ash.

    Keep them coming..

  • @retroc6450 Thanks mate. It was class then and still is now.

  • A fine shooter and one of the best on Amiga.

    Carry on Ash!

  • @alex76gr Thanks mate. Yes it is one of the best on the amiga :)

  • What a neverending stage, reminds me of Super Aleste/Space Megaforce on the SNES.

Looks pretty good and the music is good.

  • @AdyShearer Yeah the level is fairly long even after my editing. A good game for it's age.

  • Great music on this one Ash, looks nice as well, had a look on ebay but no copies :( Most of the games I want aren't available atm (

  • @Snestastic This is quite a rare one mate. If I saw another copy I might pick it up myself. Patience is the key to getting the games we all want mate.

  • ahh yes, another great shooter on Amiga, this would be one of the best games on Amiga for 1988 imo.

Did you not know or forget about the secondary weapon that allows you to shoot through the barriers, each weapon upgrade has a different type of secondary. To activate press Enter iirc.

The letter Es at top of screen tells you how many times you can change to secondary, makes this game even better :)

Good luck on trying to collect every shooter, how many you have so far ?

  • @off1k You know it doesn't mention about the secondary weapon in the manual but I had noticed the Es. My memory from all those years must be fading too. I have about 63 shooters so far.
