I would echo Peter's question -- not mainly because of the "cuts" (which I personally would also question) but because some portion of the video doesn't meet the guideline of what the view is supposed to be. I'm not suggesting disqualifying this -- I think it's a treat to have such a fine performance of this piece in the contest -- but as they say, "it is what it is."
Excellent question, Peter. I wanted to respond that the rules for the 2nd Cliburn YouTube Contest do not stipulate that edits may not be made; therefore Mr. Thompson's video entry does qualify.
Notwithstanding my other comment: I like this performance a lot! But I think it would have been better to do the shoot more straightforwardly.
