  • It is an ancient folk song of Sweden. There are variations of the song. It is sung in swedish, as the movie is in swedish too. The song can be found online in both swedish and english with a little research, and it is included on many swedish folk music cd's.

  • @bigdaddy13213 Hey thanks for the info.

  • u made a mistake on the description this isnt his first film his first is crisis

  • What language is this movie in? I'm trying to find the answer to that question, but it's proving to be difficult. Is it in Swedish, or English...? It's an interesting movie that I would like to see one day, but I also want to understand it, ya know?

  • It's in Swedish but it will have English, Spanish and French subtitles when you get it, rented or bought. It's an amazing film. Then again everything by Bergman is.

  • It is Swedish mate.

  • Does anybody knows what song is Karin singing here?

The script for the movie itself was based on a medieval ballad (Töres dotter i Vänge), so it may interesting to know about this one.

  • I've been trying to figure this out too.

  • @blackfoliage1 great masterpiece

  • I can't be sure, but I think the melody is from a song called "I himmelen (In heaven above)" but then Ingmar Bergman wrote new lyrics to it.
