When I watched the series that sometimes different lyrics were used for opening in the translation, but only for the english parts O_O Instead of "Burning for your life" I also saw "Verify your life" and "Running for your life". And instead of "For the perfect dream" I also so "For the path between" O_O Pretty confusing.

One of the best animes I know with Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The series is much more convincing than the movie.

The series focuses more on the story and the evolution of the characters and a little less on battles.

The movie focuses more on the fights and the aesthetic (very dark and apocalyptic) but it is impossible for someone who doesn't know the story of the manga or of the series to understand it. And characters other than Kamui, Fuma and Kotori are underdevelopped.

But, on the other hand, the series focuses maybe a little too more on the characters and the battles doesn't seem like a war or the Apocalypse.

The movie, however, is really a war between the two factions and the end of the world. It is very spectacular and depressing.

Both versions have different endings (well, a different treatment of the story also), the manga itself being inachieved.
