He seems arrogant being like i know about this stuff and in on the road kerouac just tells it like it is in a stream of consciousness rather than boasting and shit. I like brand usually and think biritish people are usually funny but it doesn't work so well here for some reason. But that's just my opinion.

This is more supposed to be one persons view of Kerouac's writing & the impact & effect that his style of living had on him. You could get a stuffy academics view on his use of language and the psychological effects of his actions on himself & those around him but I guess it wouldn't be as easy to sell to a TV network as putting a "celebrity" on it. Also I think this was intended to combat the "Daily Mail" attitude to Russell & the belief by many that he was not intelligent and erudite .
