Hi Diana... the goddess of the hunt... In my opinion... l.e.d. lights will go very well into cloth / clothing design when they can be made VERY small ... tiny... Then "the sky is the limit". I'm sure it will happen & I can't wait for it & see what people (like you) can/will dream-up & create... It will be something like "bio-luminescence".
Fantasy ... beautiful... I can see in imagination ... subtle to gaudy crazy fun & amazing.
if there is anyway to connect a compas or navigation system to the leds... the north side of the body can be illimunated.... or the side of your significant-other....or the side of your home.... or whatever
This reminded me of those super cool children's sneakers that light up when the shoe hits the ground... you should try to sort of re-work that concept, but make it more couture.
I also think LEDs belong in accessories: jewelry, gloves, and hats. Maybe even illuminating tiaras or veils!
