I like this one much better than the first. And I love the midieval werewolves. They were so scary. Try watching this movie on a dark rainy day like I did. It's really scary.
the second is the best, but one and two are good. the third is a prequel; but in my opinion, they need to make a fourth with Selene and Michael to complete the story. Kate Beckinsale said she won't make another action movie though because of a back injury she sustained in Van Hellsing.
@dock6024 there will be fourth part and Kate has officially signed on to reprise her role as Selene. movie will be released only 2012 and it's planed to be made in 3-D
It shows some history of what went on before (first part) but other than that it's somewhat in the same style unlike the 3rd movie which is set entirely in a medieval period without Selene.
This one aims to dig deeper into how the new race was born and at the same time finishes the story the first movie started.
1 is all action, 2 is 50/50 action and story and 3 is story. So go see em all if you can but skip the last if you don't think the movie is that great . (but it is!)

1st 2nd 3rd in that order. If you've seen the first then you should see the second as well, but the 3rd isn't so nessessary.
