  • For a North American unfamiliar with cockney phrases, could someone explain to me why folks say "there ain't half been" something when really they mean the opposite? It's a cool song, but that part confuses me.

  • @levanyzzuf There aint half been, means that there have been lots of. Its said in mild sarcasm so though it sounds like there are less than half the real amount , when you say it aloud it means there were lots.

  • I was going to add this to my Youtube list of "likes" before Shakespeare's face came up! Sorry, it's a great song, but having been forced to study Shakespeare in school I think, so far from being the best writer of all time, he's actually the most over-rated. Couldn't schoolkids at least have more of a choice of writers to study?

  • Comment removed

  • @eisemanrenyardjake well that's your personal prejudice - mine, for what it's worth (virtually nothing) is that he was a pretty great writer, not quite so good as a dramatist. i'd personally rather go see a chekhov play than almost any shakespeare.

  • That's Isaac Newton .... 'E was a proper clever barsterd .....!!!

  • lennydylan was a clever bastard

  • Ian Dury failed to Rhyme with crime but he did rhyme with Brewery if you twisted your mouth. What a cunt. A clever cunt denying clever bastards their natural born credit. He had Clarkes shoes and his own television set. (a set of two).

  • @SRPMITCHTUBE lol.....what......are you saying he stole other peoples' songs ?
