The first 2 Extol records (and the EP) were amazing. This song really shows the musical diversity and genius of the band.
I hope that those making comments below realize something very simple. If you believe, then believe, and if you don't then you don't. We don't have to introduce name calling or anything like that. @mrptroa There is an alternate version of Christianity called Gnosticism which says that the Old Testament God who created the material universe is actually the Devil which is why evil exists. But the Father of Jesus is the original Godhead and Jesus came to impart the knowledge to allow us to free our spirits from creation and become one with the Godhead. I dunno I just thought that was a kinda interesting theory so I shared it with you.
@alexmonro83 That's one version of many things called "Gnosticism." Calling themselves Gnostic of god pretty much gives them reason to say whatever they want, because they claim to have knowledge. Which is why Gnosticism of any sort is generally condemned by any faith worshipping the Judeo-Christian god.

Also they were actually many, many Christian books with Gnostic elements which weren't put into the New Testament (which wasn't compiled until over 3 hundred years after the death of Christ and long after most of the books were written).

Justification is the main thing - being justified despite a sinful nature and acts. Biblically, JUSTIFICATION comes only through the death and resurrection of God's son, not through doing good deeds and earning points. Think that all Death Metal has to be about gore. Who think it's lyrical themes that make the bands genre.
