I started getting really upset about the Standards of Care and admitted to my psychologist that I was feeling angry about the whole situation.
He asked me if I was angry at him and when I said "no" he replied "It's OK if you do". The SOC does feel really unfair sometimes and your comments on conception and psych evaluations for breast enhancement. GRS is almost still seen as a mental ilness despite doctors telling us that it isn't anymore.
We live in a very illogical society. We all know some people should not be allowed to become parents or get huge fake boobs or drink alchohol... But do we care enough to try to intervene?
Very well said, I have Gynecomastia and it has crippled my ability to be social because of the teasing I had to go through all my life post-puberty. I am unable to leave the house even to check the mail, yet I cannot find anyone who will help me remove it. Even if it were removed, it would take time to adapt to society like a "normal" being because of the psychological scar left by the bullies at school.
I see what your point is... there should be no legislation for child birth it's a biological right. AND some people are unfit to be parents yet they dont need evaluation. so why should we have to get evaluated etc.. AWESOME points.. the rest of the world wont see it that way I dont think... PEACE
A license to breed would be a good idea for enviromental reasons too. The world is overpopulated, and with current rates of population growth we're headed for a global resource war that will inevitably 'go hot' if we don't act now.
Not really true. we'll peak at 9 billion... and then as poor countries get richer populations will begin to decrease (post-industrial rich countries have low birthrates)... in fact in the far far future when poverty as we know it no longer exists we might be facing a de-population crisis
I've heard of crazy situtations where trans people have been denied the opportunity to adopt kids and been told they's be bad parents 'cos they might change gender again. To me this is bullshit. I've come across parents -who never had to ask permission to have kids having fat lines of cocaine in front of their children or being drunk when they're handling a baby or being neglectful or abusive! That's worse. Just 'cos someone is transgendered doesn't mean they're gonna be bad at raising kids.
About the "Family licence" Yes I agree. But I have diffrent reasoning. I see toooo many idiots breed ALL the time. Unfit parents even Yet they're allowed to have a child? ALSO if the law trys to tell you were you csn stick your dick/pussy. Hell. Even it out! Tell them WHEN too! HA. Legal BS baffles me.
Well said -- I agree with what you've said in this video. The idea that people who seek sex-reassignment are in need of psychotherapy yet other body mofication is all-go bewilders me. Also, liscencing for parents could do the world a lot of good.
Good idea sam. Its really not fair that people who want to transition have to get psychology assessed, but people who want to change their face or get breast augmentation don't. I agree I mean why do we have one set of rules for people who want to change there body's. You explained this better than I ever could. Whenever I think of pregnancy I keep thinking of film aliens.
Very nice thoughts. And I am happy to see that our world has a people like you to say some things others dont have courage to speak out. And thanks for your more clear English, it is a little bit easy to understand... for us not native English ppl
This right here.
