  • not true. The arena in Boston opened in 1997. The RBC Centre was completed in 1999.

  • ok, well either way, my point was that this goon below me was saying the architecture is the reason their building doesnt sound loud...cmon man..

  • lol just so all these dumb people realize... these fans arent any louder or crazier than any other good teams' fans... its a newer building with a better design that allows sound to echo louder... hence the louder noise. for example... bruins fans ARE more passionate and louder, despite having like 500 less seats, yet on tv it sounds like the bruins' fans comparitively suck...

on tv these whackjobs sound louder than even the HABS fans haha... and that tells you where the noise is really from...

  • the bank north garden or whatever is newer than the rbc center.....

teams and players have vouched that the rbc center and the caniacs are among the loudest in the nhl...the way it sounds on tv is the crowd baby, we show all the other crowds how to be loud..

  • just so you realize, the RBC center is 10 years old, boston's arena is newer than that. Not to mention, we are lounder and more passionate. Its not a guinness record because an observer was not there, but we set the record for loudest indoor sporting event during game 7 of the 2006 cup finals. We are loud, and our building is loud. I think you need to realize hockey in carolina is bigger than you think, ours fans are the best, and were here to stay.
