and 4 the stuff like glue and paint could i get the name of them im deeply interested in using this model and seeing this video has motivated me into doing it
Very nice looking model. Today I tried flying my version of F22 and it flew very well. But I was not sure of how to make it turn left or right. When I tried left or right turn using my Dx7, the model starts rolling in the air. Can you please advice me what to do?
@mrexcelxp You will turn the F-22 much like you would any RC plane with ailerons. The Elevons work the same way, slightly roll the plane to one side and then use the elevator input to push the plane through the turn. Then roll the aileron input back out of the plane by reversing the stick. You will get it, it is a feel thing. Good luck!
@tomtom4867 Not sure how to respond tom... Each plane will be different, depending on the gear used and the build. As a general rule, always start with the CG to far towards the front of the plane as it is a safer start. Too tail heavy and the plane will have a loss of response at the surfaces. Good luck!
@SHATANKILLER : Thanks for watching. On this version, I used an APC 8x4e. For the aileron version I have plans for now, I use a 7". It allows for a bit more clearance for the bottom runners. Thanks for watching!
@BR5499a : Thanks very much for the kind words. I hope to do more when I get some time. I really hope it helps you all build some new planes! Cheers ~ James
hey man i have a deceased lama v4 that i gutted. from the heli i got 2 micro servos(esky EK20508) with only the innermost hole, wires are 6 1/2 inch long. i have 2 2 cell lipos( 1 at 800mah 10c discharge , the other at 900 mah 15c continuous. 2 380( i think) size brushed motors that i wouldnt try to use for the plane but basically im wondering if i could use the 2 servos and the batteries on this plane.
This plane is one where the CG has to be located for each build as it varies. It usually comes out about 1" to 1.5" aft of the motor mount. ALWAYS start with a CG too far forward as the plane will be more controllable, though nose heavy. Tail heavy on this plane will cause it to loop or wash out uncontrollably.
You are very welcome. I usually come in at a round 9 ounces. I have one right now that is at 10 as I doubled the forward portion of the wingset. Really, the heavier you get, the more you will have to keep the speed up to keep it in the air.
Thanks. On this build, the motor is straight down the center. This plane does not seem to have too many torque issues due to motor placement. Just put the mount on as straight and center as you can. You can always shim your radial mount if you feel it needs a few degrees, but you likely won't. Cheers ~ James
Yes. The battery is a 3 cell Lithium Polymer. They are 3.7 volts per cell (11.1 volts). This will also run on a 2S pack (7.4 volts), but will be much more of a slow flyer, floater.
Can someoneone help me! i don't know how to use a plan, i have a plan for a plane and printed it on a a4 sheet of paper and they are small and i want them to be much bigger

hi,
where do you think for any scratch build having the cg if you have no plans with a cg written on it?
thanks

@FangarJim maybe a 3d profile plane like the p51 mustang

Hello, good video for me to follow. By the way
I'll think you didn't show us where the CG is located, or how to find one. Can you help us on this? I want to built one when my electronic arrived.

I just have one question: what is about the max auw to let it fly?

would i need a receiver like yours to be able to fly it???
airsoftguys 2 years ago
You would need a small lightweight receiver. It does not have to be the one I use.

great vid, when you mount the motor on, do you have to mount it on at a certain angle? or straight down the middle?

I will have a maiden flight this weekend.

hello. i hope you are still interested in this plane. What you probably printed out was the whole plan. what you want is the tiled plan for a4 size.

my question is when do we get to see you flying the plane?

Hello. Glad you finally found it. If you look into my YouTube Folder, there are several videos of me flying my F-22's. Thanks for watching!

Not familiar with that radio. If it is not a computer based radio, than you would need a mixer of some sort.
FangarJim 3 years ago
Howdy. The computer radios of today allow for Elevon mixing. I run a Futaba 7C which has this capability. Nothing else is needed. Cheers.

2 question:
1) four hourse with fuselage or with all electronics in?
2) do think this would be a good slope soarer?
annihil8ted 3 years ago
4 hours total, ready to fly. No I don't think it would be a good slope soarer. Not enough wing area for powerless flight.
FangarJim 3 years ago
how long does it take to build
blackpowerkid93 3 years ago
The first one takes longer for most as there are new techniques to be applied, but I can make one in around 4 hours or so. Have fun!
