How are drugs causing him harm when he's not on them anymore? He never was one of the cliche, drugged, rock bottom-hitting rock stars. He did drugs for a few years in his career, gave us some awesome/memorable performances while on them, then chilled out. Unfortunately, he can't go back and top those performances. If he did, he would wind up being like those other rock stars.

I like most of the changes in relation to the studio versions, as far as ideas and (most of the) implementation go - but some of the stuff doesn't go.

Serj's almost complete lack of shouting is one of those - it's not so much the fact that he doesn't, but the particulat passages don't sound right with clean vocals, and come off as indecisive and a bit whiny.

Dude, they are not in their 20's anymore. Bands change, people change. I have seen System countless times, and I assure you, these boys get better with age. Daron's solo career did wonders for his live performances and Serj's voice is stronger than ever. Daron still smokes blunts and humps his guitar onstage...they have not lost their energy, it simply changed forms.
