@shaun8397 I'm pretty sure that Elvis, and most of the Americans who did this song, didn't even know about Liverpool. Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote for the musical Carousel in the late 40s; it didn't get played at Anfield until 1963.

the song has noting to do with football..its a gospel song and elvis sang it with the Holy spirit running through him, he was a believer in Jesus and always thought that He was alongside him...God bless all you guys though and your teams im a football fan myself as you can see by my name..but i can recognize "higher" things now than football..elvis will never walk alone now as hes in the arms of our Lord !!
