heh, you can find worse in this country. There must be 1/2" between the rails on the north switching yard here in portland. Most of the joint bars only have two bolts in them that are tight, and usually missing atleast one bolt on the joint bar, the ties are sunk compleatly down into the mud and move every time a train passes across them. Especially when they run a pair of dash 9's across it. Top speed, 5mph.
Wow... I never thought a train could move that *slow*! I was falling asleep waiting for the train to come completely into frame.

I have used my tripod 'Libec TH650DV' this 4 years,
good cost-performance,but weak to a cold district.
I had a hard time in shooting video in China of winter.
