in the process of shaping my first board, its a 9ft noserider, I hope to do this with my son one day on my 9ft.

@friedredfish ..just be safe and use sunscreen! This is a 2 time woman's world longboard champ so she is very good at this. You should use flotation too (this is on a 6" rolling wave with no whitewater in thigh deep water so it was VERY safe, plus the pro surfer dad is on a board right beside them)

@HodgsonHawaii board just in for glassing today. I think sunscreen is for sure NB. I have been surfing for the last 18 years, many of these years spent as an active member and medic at a local lifesaving club and national sea rescue institute here in the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. I definitely think sunscreen is NB. We have a perfect beach for this, with the only worry are the sharks and cold water (maybe the odd blue bottle).
