  • The Toy Symphony is now actually thought to have been written by Leopold Mozart, although for a long time was believed to be written by Haydn

  • I never liked this film. It was well - sordid. Jacqueline was a wonderful person, and always radiated goodness, even when stricken down with that horrible disease. Barenboim does not come out too well in the real story. He "played around".

  • LarissaFMattos (Video 02 - n.1/JSBach Prelude)

  • What is the title and composer of the duet Jackie and Hilary play towards the end

  • Horrible film. What a caricature of Jacquelline. If Hilary and her brother didn't write this disgraceful book and film they would have at least retained the respect of people of being the sister and brother of Jackie. Now everybody hates them for being so evil and small-minded to produce such a farce. How sad that they didn't love her being her relatives. Any normal human being would have been proud and grateful to have such a relative but not Hilary + brother. So miserable...

  • what is the name of the piece they play as a duet?

  • lol, i know this video is a highly inaccurate portrayal of her life, blah blah blah, but i do find this video inspiring for me to get my cello out and start practicing, seeing how such a young girl could work so hard with so much dedication encourages me to do so too.

  • is there a name for the piece they play?

  • I thought the Toy Symphony was by Leopold Mozart?

  • i loved this film when i first saw it, coz i just started playing cello then.....but then i read "a genius in the family" and my view was changed dramatically.....

i cant begin to explain what did or didnt happen in this film and in the book, which is real.....i still enjoy the film though......it wud probs be better if it was based on a fictional character though

  • well that wasn't very good lol.

  • OK! I get it. I know it was stupid but I was worried. It's a bit scary.

  • a highly inaccurate portrayal of her life. People should not spend vast amounts of money producing films if they have carried out an inadiquent amount of research.

  • ths suks

  • That's very cute! I like it...is it a short extract of a longer film?? Can you see more of in here on YouTube??

    Very great, 5 stars!!!

  • This movie is quite an inaccurate depiction of her life, particularly this video, jackie was always the star, and hilary apparently only started playing the flute in her teens.

  • nice video, thanks for uploading:)

  • it's just a wonderful movie about a wonderful woman

  • can someone give me any info. about the actresses that played the young du Pre sisters please? I'd like to know if they really sound like that or is it put on(which it sounds).

    Thanks!

  • Hilary didn't take up flute until her teens...And Jackie was the main star, even then

  • Dear All: Do anyone really know what the piece is during 02:50~03:15? Who composed this duet?

  • seriously, I want to know too!

  • nice!!!! wads the title of this movie??

  • TO leflashingblade:

The piece in your answer, not in this clip, is played by Hilary and her boyfriend who conducts the orchestra. The piece I am asking is not in the OST and it is played by the sisters together ,without "Strings", as U can see in this clip. I hope someone can tell me the title?

  • I think it says right at the start of the clip... toy symphony or something..?

  • So touching!

Could someone tell me what is the piece played by du Pre sisters? composer and title? I really want to give it a try!

  • awwwwww

  • What is the name of this movie?

  • Hmmm...I should do that also with my trumpet brother, it's just he should practice more.

  • I loved that movie.

  • i've been trying to get this movie for months!! omg... i cant find it in singapore!! ARGH!!!

  • My mum & dad rented that when I was like 8, so of coarse I was only allowed to see some of it. I do remember this bit though

  • how lovely!! does someone knows where can I find the movie please I would like to see it.

  • Its a great movie, i highly reccomend it. (its rated R, theres a bit of sex in it. du Pre kinda did some weird things in her love life. Like sleeping with her sisters husband, with permission of corse. and a bit of nudity, but the scene where du pre runs off in the nude never happened.)

  • THe bit where Hilary found her in the woods? It did, but not the same way it happened in the movie. I can't remember exactly, but they couldn't find Jackie and Kiffer her found her nude in te woods and had to talk her into putting her clothes on etc. It's something along those lines. It was def. Kiffer who found her though

  • omg~ i wanna see the movie now! it's not a sad movie is it??? oh well, even if it is, i wanna watch it! wow! how cute!

  • Its about the life and death of Jacqueline du Pre. Of Course its sad. She was the bast cellist on Earth and then she Got MS at a really young age and died a terrible death. Its a great movie, but an even more amazing book. You should read it.

  • omg!!!! noooo~~~~ ahhh! *sniffle* but still...i wanna see it!~* hehehe~

  • This film was cut from movie: "Hilary and Jackie"
