The Twin Snakes remix sucked, they changed too much, made Snake too much of a cowboy, doing a black flip then stomping on a sniper rifle to make it fly up, catching it with on and then doing a spin on the Sniper Wolf boss. That was just ridiculous. They need to remake the original without changing anything but the graphics. Maybe the camera down to third person like MGS4.
I have heard other people say the cutscenes in the remake were pretty overdone, and from what I've seen (I haven't played it, only the original) they're probably right. But Snake is a legendary soldier, and he was part of FOX-HOUND, which houses some muscled-up freaks. I find Twin Snakes captures how Snake is indeed a superman of sorts, considering all he's done (e.g. destroy at least four Metal Gears). In MGS4 he is an old man on the brink of death, and he still kicks major ass!
No, Twin Snakes is needlessly and embarrassingly overdone. The thing that makes Snake such a bad ass, is that he doesn't try hard to act like a bad ass. Snake is a very good warrior, but he's also very lucky to survive a lot of the shit thrown at him.
In fact, a lot of the times snake & big boss were strung along purposefully. In MGS1 they were letting him run around and arm rex and in snake eater, EVA was helping big boss a lot from the inside.

Circumstances have a lot to do with.(Notice how a boxer beats another boxer, than they have a rematch and the other wins. Meaning you can't always say one guy is better than the other on every night) Liquid might be better technically, but i think they wanted you to think Snake had more heart and will. Kinda like Big Boss defeating The Boss.

@VHDR2378 Yeah I have MGS4, it's one of my favorite games. At the end Old Snake was going to commit suicide but then Big Boss [ the original Snake, his father] comes and stops him. He seems to be somewhat young for his age because he was cryogenically frozen and preserved by the Patriots. That's why he appears all those years later.

2) Despite Liquid having the blonde hair (a screw up on Kojima's part), he really is the dominant clone. MGS1 was about gene manipulation, gene control, how they affected a person in battle. They let Liquid believe he was the inferior one to see how it would shape his destiny.
3) Despite Solid being the inferior one (he never even knew he was a clone), he surpassed Liquid & Solidus.

The Twin Snakes remix sucked, they changed too much, made Snake too much of a cowboy, doing a black flip then stomping on a sniper rifle to make it fly up, catching it with on and then doing a spin on the Sniper Wolf boss. That was just ridiculous. They need to remake the original without changing anything but the graphics. Maybe the camera down to third person like MGS4.

I have heard other people say the cutscenes in the remake were pretty overdone, and from what I've seen (I haven't played it, only the original) they're probably right. But Snake is a legendary soldier, and he was part of FOX-HOUND, which houses some muscled-up freaks. I find Twin Snakes captures how Snake is indeed a superman of sorts, considering all he's done (e.g. destroy at least four Metal Gears). In MGS4 he is an old man on the brink of death, and he still kicks major ass!

No, Twin Snakes is needlessly and embarrassingly overdone. The thing that makes Snake such a bad ass, is that he doesn't try hard to act like a bad ass. Snake is a very good warrior, but he's also very lucky to survive a lot of the shit thrown at him.
In fact, a lot of the times snake & big boss were strung along purposefully. In MGS1 they were letting him run around and arm rex and in snake eater, EVA was helping big boss a lot from the inside.

Circumstances have a lot to do with.(Notice how a boxer beats another boxer, than they have a rematch and the other wins. Meaning you can't always say one guy is better than the other on every night) Liquid might be better technically, but i think they wanted you to think Snake had more heart and will. Kinda like Big Boss defeating The Boss.

@VHDR2378 Well, according to Metal Gear Wikia, The Boss and Big Boss developed CQC. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned more then once that Liquid was better than Snake at CQC, but no one knows for sure.

@VHDR2378 Yeah I have MGS4, it's one of my favorite games. At the end Old Snake was going to commit suicide but then Big Boss [ the original Snake, his father] comes and stops him. He seems to be somewhat young for his age because he was cryogenically frozen and preserved by the Patriots. That's why he appears all those years later.

SIGNIT is the DARPA Chief. Liquid is not REALLY possessing Ocelot he was just put under psycho therapy cause Ocelot (Adamski) and Eva are actually allies and thier purpose throughout all 4 games was to bring big boss back to life (He is reconstructed using Solodis' body parts.).Zero from MGS3 is the ultimate mastermind behind the Patriots and everything in all 4 games. They pull the plug on his life support at the end of 4 and end it all. Also Eva turns out to be boths snakes surrogate mother.

1) Solidus is the perfect clone of Big Boss.
2) Despite Liquid having the blonde hair (a screw up on Kojima's part), he really is the dominant clone. MGS1 was about gene manipulation, gene control, how they affected a person in battle. They let Liquid believe he was the inferior one to see how it would shape his destiny.
3) Despite Solid being the inferior one (he never even knew he was a clone), he surpassed Liquid & Solidus.
