  • thanks

  • Hi! I wanted to know WHEN I can use";" in a sentence because all my life I have always hesitated in using it. I have always tried using other sentence forms to avoid the semicolon when I wrote out anything. English for me is not 'exactly' a second language as I have been here(in the U.S.) since the day I was born. However, I do feel that over the years a great amount of text messaging and communicating with others frequently via the internet has ruined my writing skills.
