@tollmart jeez dude, you have to check out some beginner slap vids here on the tube and sit down with it ... my slap skills are pretty basic, but I've found myself improving somewhat over the past couple years somewhat ... I really am just an old school rock and rock and blues finger style player (If I had to describe myself) You're a good player, you should be able to play a bit of slap in no time. :) Slap is really popular isn't it? Hardly ever hear it on the radio though, haha.
@Pudsy440 Going to give it a go. i was thinking of posting a jam vid like the ones you do. Wont be as good but it will keep me off the streets for a while
@tollmart I've only been playing for a few months but I can slap alright. My advice to you is to just randomly slap the bass until you get the feeling right, then it will just come to you after that. When I am walking around, driving, or even just listening to music, I pretend I am playing and slap my belt with my thumb. Practicing even without your bass is tremendous help
Are the strings supposed to look that loose or is that just me? Or are you bending them crazy like?
