  • You go to fast, please slow down, how to do 1:40 - 1:47 ?

  • plz tell me how to do the radius 3 feat

  • Please some one tell me how to change the select setting!!??

  • very good tutorials and hopefully do well in Spanish

  • muy buenos tutoriales ojala y los hicieran tambien en español

  • That's so cool!!!

  • how do you type in the number of segments?

  • @ModGarrys just type it and hit enter :)

  • i think the spiral should go the other direction so the rail is on the right

  • Awesome, just did this one...took me about 10 minutes (really need a dual display for these, or a way of integrating into sketchup). Changed the square rail to a cylindrical type railing

  • I noticed that the rail of the spiral stairs wasn't curved it was strait peaces going up each step. is there a way to connect a rail to the top of each vertical pole by a single peace to make it look more natural?

  • 5:18 IM NOT GETTING THAT ALL STEPS OF THE LADDER AT THE SAME TIME SET is changed, ,

  • Jim was fascinated up until minute 3i8, the point at which you managed to flatten the assembly of stair tread component then wne on to copy them 20 times. You are using the move tool correct? I cannot flatten a component much less an assembly of them. CAnnot then manage to make a array of them to the 20 segments... It would be very helpful if we were able to see your keystroke commands on this portion of the video too. Still, its a great help, thanks !

  • thanks man!

  • nice but you could hit yourself in the head with the second flor in the spiral stair . it look great but its not a 100% well designed

  • looks like I would hit my head on the ceiling when I'm climbing up the stair...

  • mine works up to the pont where u need to copy it and move it to the top...mine never stays onda line and wen i type "20/" it dosent add all the other treads

  • make sureyou select "make componet" when you make the fist step. then construct teh handrail. Both of those commands are easily accessed by right clicking.

  • .l.l.l.l.l.

  • what do u type in for 3 feet for the radius of the circle?

  • 3' three single quote

  • You don't need to do this if you don't want, just download a spiral staircase.

  • Well, that's no fun

  • in other words:

you can be pro, or you can be noob

  • nice way of showing how to use arrays...

but isn't there an easier way to do the spiral one?

  • Make sure you select "make component" when you make the first step. Then after you have made the staircase, select "edit component" before you try to construct the handrail. Both of those commands are easily accessed by right clicking.

  • con esas escaleras te pegas en la cabeza, jajaja

  • Awesome, but the central axis of the spiral staircase needs to be offset from the edge of the the mezzanine floor, or we'll have to crawl up there on all fours!

  • great tut! i'm just getting into sketchup these days

  • cool :)

  • awesome video! thanks a lot!

  • great video

but when he makes the little square for the railing, how do u make the square (and the line afterwards) appear on all the steps?
