I don't even know who Oceano is so nothing on them, and As Blood Runs Black are alright, I liked they're new album a lot, the older one was garbage and The Black Dahlia Murder is a good band man and there are a lot of good metal bands that don't have blast beats in their music. Excluding the classics like Death and Pantera, there is Sylosis, Lamb of God, Darkane, Trivium, Evile, Devildriver, Machine Head, All Shall Perish (latest two albums.)

Children of Bodom, Mastodon, Becoming The Archetype, and I tried really hard to find bands that weren't stereotypical metal head likings and that weren't infested with blast beats, So there are much more. I personally don't like breakdowns constantly through music, I feel it's the easy way out. The Black Dahlia Murder are badass.

As for tbdm, Iove them, there one of my favorite bands but i do admit they over use the blast beat and because of that some songs sound the same. but its cool i can tell we both have COMPLETELY different tastes in genres of music. And whitechapel is not core "crap", listen to some of their new stuff, it may have breakdowns but its more death metal than anything.

I remember watching this song preformed at Soundwave 2010 Sydney in the blistering heat, It had such a powerful sound to it that it felt like it just pierced threw the dusty mosh pit valley and straight up the hill to us. You couldn't hear anything else but them, it was that moving that it literally felt like it broke the heat although we were still standing in direct 40c Australian sunlight. So glade I seen them play live that day because I'll remember that haunting powerful feeling forever.

Then "bands" (if you like...) such as Black Veil Brides are also known for there image. Clothes and hair have come to define a genre ALMOST as much as the music itself. So i would agree, Alexisonfire truely are a breath of fresh air.
