At 0:31, the giant hand that grabbed Supergirl could had been made of Kryptonite. Since Kryptonite is Supergirl's most famous weakness, she would lose her powers and would be helpless as the robot kept punching her until she was unconcious. The robot would then take Supergirl to a villain's hideout where the villain would use Kryptonite chains to make sure that Supergirl remains helpless and never regains her powers.

Now this is cool. I have been a Superman fan for a long time, but his Kryptonian cousin is just as cool, and you have really caught her essence in this great CG animation. One thing -- I thing she wears a cheerleader-like red skirt with this version of the outfit, if I remember right. I know these are hard to animate -- perhaps thats why you left it off. Anyway... great work!

Er... because the fists the robot shoots out of its real fists are supposed to be made of energy... or something (unlike anime robots who shoot their actual fists). It was just easier to make the animation this way rather than to have the robot do any real fighting.

Kryptonite is just a bad idea used by bad writers to get away with bad plots. And in the case of Supergirl, Kryptonite is used mostly for its fetish value. That's why I avoid it like the plague.
